Sorry to hear about your foot.. hope it heals fast.

It was a good day, Dave cooked up a storm with the gourmet rissoles and thick sausages and the z racing was awesome… the action was so quick it’s hard not to hit a track barrier.

I”ll try my best to get there – depends on whether the mrs has organised something without telling me but will know later on this week.

btw. is there a large enough area for a 24 tile track ?

I better start charging up the batteries tonight…

Hey Dave, did you see the Initial-D movie yet?

Another thing – don’t buy cheap branded h-plates as they tweak very easy and don’t return back to their normal shape. Stick with Kyosho or better still go with an O plate.

A lot of people use the kyosho honda nsx rims for the mclaren but they don’t come cheap.

The little c clip is probably a spare as when you take these things off to do ball diff maintenance they have a habit of launching themselves…

What’s wrong with the existing controller ?

Soldering ispretty easy with the right tools. You need a low power 18 watt soldering iron from Dicksmith & some solder. Piano wire from your local hardware store. Some pliers to bend the piano wire to the shape of your existing antenna.

Add a bit of solder to thetip of thewire, then place the wire where it’s suppose to connect to on the circuit board and touch it with the tip of the soldering iron until you see the solder melt.

Hold the wire in place until solder solidifies and remember not to inhale the fumes.

    Good Good.

I’ve been wanting the right wheel offsets for the Mclaren Firelap body.

Lucky I didn’t buy those awful green nsx rims from rcmart.

Thanks all, I’ll try the electric tape. I sure hope it’ll stick to the foam.

After running on this track a few times, I’m thinking that the downside of this track is that when you hit or touch the foam barrier at any angle, your mini-z get’s stuck due to the friction between body and barrier and you need to reverse to get out of the situation…

I’m thinking of lining the inside of the track barriers with some masking tape to prevent this from happening… (I hope the masking tape stays on the track barrier)…

Anyone else tried anything..? I figured it has to be some sort oftape because you still want the foam barrier to absorb the impacts.

I also use this tx in 27mhz and found it to pretty good for all my 1:10 cars. It’s reliable, virtually glitch free at the local club as long as I don’t use those ‘yeah racing’ crystals it’s fine.

It seems to have a problem running mr01’s though. Couldn’t get it to center the steering properly even after fiddling with all the adjustments on it…

I also couldn’t take the battery tray out, and didn’t want to force it out either. It certainly looks like it could come out butI’d probably snap something if I tried harder.

GBM looks just like the original game & watch from when i was a little tacker…

no way, GBu has ‘Gameboy’ standard buttons. sovxx.gif

Nintendo G&W have custom buttons for each different game. (for all you kiddies, the G&W was from 1980 and is a pocket handheld LCD game… oh yeah, it also had a time/alarm function.)

Nintendo did a retro run some yrs ago of classic G&W games on a matchbox-sized keychain unit shaped like a minatureOriginal Gameboy. This one had Gameboy buttons too… playing that is so different to playing original G&W units.

Dug out my original Gameboy the other weekend. Cool – still works… but the LCD is missing a few lines (damned!). Its still running off its 1st set of Energizers so it can”t have been overused; some of the old game cartridges have also lost their hi-scores too (imho must be a battery-backed RAM chip in there).

I’ve still got my nintendo game & watches at my parents place. Donkey Kong, Chef, and some other one I can’t remember… Those were extremely fun in the day…

Have you seen how much they go for on ebay ? Close to $100 each depending on condition.

I’ve got an original game boy as well, pulled out the 32 games in 1 cartridge and hell yeah it still works after all these years….

    Bugger…

I’ve got like 5 sets of new alloy rims sets and they’re all wide for a merc shell. I wish rcmart would specify wheel offsets …sad.gif

    Thanks Betty.

Can I get the gandini racing foams from the shop ? I couldn”t find them under the wheels section. Am I looking in the right place ?

The quality of the Mclaren F1 shell is a big improvement over the iwaver01 shells. There is only subtle differences with the Kyosho shell, but paint quality in my opinion is pretty darn good.

Thanks Aaron for sending it out so quick. I was surprised thatmy orderarrived in just 2 days after payment.

I’m surprised to see so many people rc’ing there now.

Looks like I have to re-visit thexxx main guide…LOL. Didn’t realise that just putting a stock motor would affect the handling so much… I swear the car handle on rails with a silver can in it.
