    1) steering jitters are ok for me now. after making myself a loaded antenna i dont have any more problems.

    2) sounds good. any idea where i can get some, besides scouring the internet

    3) i like running my pn anima so i guess thats out

    4) …

    5) i have a spider so i guess i will have to see how that one turns out

    6) i invested in the foams from ausmicro. love em!

    7) when i say easy i mean that i wont have to destroy my bat mount, but i guess i didnt really explain that one

sounds like some great advise. now all i have to do is wait a week for my net to be uncapped so i can watch the vid. bastards!

there is one that altronics sell that looks pretty good. its not on their web site, but it has an extraction fan as part of the unit for about $150. extractions fans are a must. i have been using one at work then i came back to my chepo home one and i couldnt stand it. those fumes can get pretty toxic!

    thanks for the info guys.

so i guess 50 bucks inc delivery is about standard for a zz. which model would you guys recomend? the SE models seem to look pretty crappy for some reason… i think it might be the plastic hanging out the bottom. are bodies interchangable with the different models? for example if i got the hummer

would i be able to put other bodies like the mustang and the charger?

ok. im looking at getting one. any recommendations? im looking at this one http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6051878877&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
but i think it is one of the older ones. i think this http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ZipZaps-SE-Starter-Kit-Yellow-Initial-D-Mazda-Enfini_W0QQitemZ280026441073QQihZ018QQcategoryZ44024QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem
is a newer one, but it they both seem a little expensive. i think the sweetest looking one is the hummer though http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280026061269&fromMakeTrack=true. any thoughts? is this the going rate for a zz?

yes they are springy antennas with the “spring” at either the bottom, top of middle.

underground car parks are not a very good place to be testing signal strength. the concrete walls block out a lot of noise and also help in reflecting the transmittion around, so both result in much better reception

    hey guys.

i’ve tried making myself a few “loaded” aerials for my mini z. so far the results are good. what i did was go into supercheap and check out some of their 27MHz aerials for the CB’s. there were some bottom loaded, some mid loaded and to my amazement there were some that were both! anyone know whats up with that?! anywho i went into my local dick smith and bought some enamled wire and rigged one up.

im not sure if its just the larger amount of wire, but i was getting great results with 1/20 wavelength bottom loaded. 1/10 was far too long. my steering no longer jitters, and my z doesnt go out of control and tear itself to bits! it seems to be a great setup. im still playing around with the lengths and the diameter of the coils so i guess testing is not over

has anyone tried anything different or got different/ better results? i have heard that there is also an optimum diameter for the coils to be. anyone know how that works?

yeah i figured as much. atm its not possible as i am still waiting on that motor mount and 9t is as high as the stock spacers go. and anyway its not in my interest because im screaming my mini z around my house on the floor boards. there was no where near enough room for me to stretch it out with the old setup even though i was running a 6t. i was constantly destroying it in my effort to get it sideways.

thanks for your help guys. it turns out there is not binding anywhere and the motor is fine. for some reason it squeals with a 6t pinion in it with the standard spacers, but when i put my alloy 9t in it works a treat. this motor is mental! it has ridiculous amounts of acceleration…although it is a little slower than my iwaver. its perfect for my mr02 drifting!

i dont believe it. i paid 12 bucks for my iwaver and 40 for my pn. i guess i will just have to wait for my motor mount and try it then. is it possible that the bb can is stuffed? has anyone had any issues with can beadings?

ok well atm im running a spider with a xspeed pro. it goes alright, but the motor is dying off so i thought i might as well get a better one. i think i might need to replace the brushes or something. its got CRAP acceleration! anyway the best batteries i have atm are the sanyo 1000mAh with a discharge of about 3.6C. should i be looking at getting myself better batteries to go with the motor?
