No differences except bodies.
I prefer the Rustler, it handles like a race truck should (well, almost), while the pede doesn’t handle well at all. And it’s hardly a big truck, I’ve got a Savage and Clod, and in the case of the truely big trucks, I’m willing to make an exception (to inferior handling).
If you’re on a budget, seriously look at a good used car, check ebay for bargains.
Unfortunately, TL-01 (TT-01 and TA-02) go through gears all too quickly, especially if you don’t have at least a rear ball diff.
1. Um, the Evo/414 suspension does fit TB-01 (aka TB-01 Long arm), and the TB-EVO was an evolution of the TB-01, and each evo builds on that. Notice that the guide book makes on mention of the EVOI or II? That’s because it’s a TB-01. It’s true that none of the parts are the same, but that doesn’t mean they’re not compatible.
2.I didn’t say it won the IFMAR ISTC. I said it won the ITC (International Touring Championship. Before IFMAR sanctioned a touring car class, the ITC was the highest ranked event for 1/10 touring. It’s still a world title (International after all), just not sanctioned by IFMAR.
3. Yes, and my hobbyshops do have the pro cars. But I prefer to get mine online (690AUD), LHS will probably be asking 850 LOL.
Red is a nice change from blue and purple. Especially if you have a Ferrari Body on top 😀
Also consider the TB-01, which optioned to TB EVO-3 spec (or you can get a EVO3 for $700), is the current ITC world champion. I’m definately getting one to replace my TC3 (which is already spoken for).
Avoid hot motors though 😉
They’re more like a Digi-Q clone, differential steer, RF (not IR) ‘propo’ (two step), make good PCB swaps for no-propo tanks, boats and others that use two motors. Otherwise, not really worth it.
The buttons on the TX are pre-programed stunts (various spins etc).
Metal slot guide interfere with Bit steering magnets.
Char-A’s are also known as Leyu Precious, chances are you’ve done one of those.
Yes.
S2000 cause it’s so ugly that I don’t care if I wreck it 😯
Best handling is my Beetle, which has so many miles on it it’s up to paint job number 3 (or 4?).
Quote:Holy Hell!!! Oldtamiyaphile, I just checked the Japanese Nissan site, and verified what you said about the Infiniti being the U.S. SkylineEventually, you’ll just get used taking everything I say as fact 😛
The GT-R will look quite different, It’s no longer called Skyline, just Nissan (or Infinity) GT-R, and it does get the traditional four stove burner tail lights. It’s not really that they’re using the Fairlady base, because the Skyline actually came first, and the GT-R will be a bit bigger than Fairlady, as well as heavier and of course ATTESA-ETT AWD. But even Nissan is worried about the simularity.

This is the 2 door that will be the basis of the next GT-R

I assume you mean Skyline and not the Morgan.
The R35 has been out in the US for some time as the Infinity V35. GT-R (no longer to be baged as a Skyline) is about a year away, US gets 5.x litre V-8, rest of world 3.5 Turbo 6.
The Morgan 4/4 is still in production, and it dates back to the 30’s, point is we really have to take release date rather than demise date…
Celica is a 98 car, as is the R34, and bB goes back to 2000ish, the NSX dates back to 1990, but the minor update replicated by Tomy is a 2002 model.
R34 is not current, the last R34’s rolled off the production line in late ’02.
Anyway, there is definately an influx of older bodies at the moment.
The Pullback mod is great because it gets the car sitting a lot lower and gets rid of the monster truck look. It also make the car wider and less likely to flip. The latest Tomys already have pullback rims, and they look a lot better than the chrome eight spoke jellybeans.
It’s hard to imagine Tomy won’t release a new tyre set with different compounds (hard, med, soft) for the Super BCG, which so far has been the only drawback of the pullback rims.
Weapon , the faster the motor spins the faster it will wear out. Simply the price you pay for more fun. The PCB (even stock) is fine up to 4 cells/5v. Just so you know, such a set up should get you into 25km/h (~16mph) teritory 😯
The pullback wheel mod is going to be even better now that you’ll be able to get different compunds courtesy the SBCG.
They could just make them ugly like Zip Zaps 😀
Pre-2K cars we have (and they’re still coming):
Dome-0, KPGC110, R32, R34, Accord, bB, F-40, 512BB, Countach, Jota, Diablo, RX-7, Celica, Gloria, NSX, Supra… and probably more I can’t think of now.
Classic Japanese.
Early Celica, RX-3 or4, C10 Skyline, 240Z, Subaru 360, even a Datsun Sunny.
Those at least have a chance of being made (since Tomy has no interest in US cars). Only US car I’d like to see (that Tomy have a chance of making) would be a Viper.
For Euro cars, I’d love a Lancia Stratos or Delta.
A Shelby Cobra isn’t a Mustang. The Mustang is a Shelby 500.
Where did you get said paint? Looks cool.
I don’t think the F-40 is mounted properly at the rear, and if you look closely, the Diablo seems to have a simular stance…
All my bodies will be cast in resin, painted and sold. You’ll have to find your own ZZ though (or stretch a Bit – Maybe use the HSV cars).
Radio Shack don’t really ‘make’ anything, it’s like our own DSE, everything is rebadged madeinchina. They’re by a company who’s name is typicaly Chinese, like “Hen Long” (but not Hen Long – something like Hen Li Chuig), but right now I can’t find any references to it on any of the packaging or cars. They don’t make any conventional clones that I’m aware of. One place the quality is really bad is the rear axle. If you let it hang down it will actually not mesh the other gears at all. Not a big deal on a stock car, but a highly modded car can actually cause the axle to lift out of mesh. Mine’s one of the new ones too. If you look at the bottom of the chassis, they’s quite a lot of waviness and moulding flash that screams ‘clone’.
