dude, have a look in the steering assembly. A part might of come out and is now causing it to stick and not move.

hey aaron, see what price you can get for IRLML2502 They are the fets used in the bcg mosfet mod. A cheap(er) source would be great.

    cheers,

dude, can you redo your links please? the links assume you are the owner of the picture and therefore require you to login. Suggest you logout of webshots and then post the pic links as a normal user OR post the link to the album.

    cheers,

Hey Ads! Good to see you’re still around dude! :smiley16:

As for a translation, here’s the link to the site matic posted via the transation program babelfish:

    http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/urltrurl?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.universalhost.de%2Fhtml_bit%2Fb-charger.htm&lp=de_en&tt=url

Basically this guy has gotten the datasheet from maxim and put in the values for the resistors where needed based on the attributes of the Bit-CharG batteries.

He has made two chargers actually. One circuit is for charging a NiMH battery, the other circuit is for charging a NiCd battery. You can build either circuit, you don’t need to build both. Each circuit is based on a different charging chip, either the MAX713 or MAX712 respectively.

I’ve got some of these chips from maxim-ic just as Ads says above as free samples. I’ve yet to put a test circuit together, just too little time and too many projects…….

This is the circuit form the german page:

    Circuit_b-Charger_9-12V.gif

Looking at it closely everything is stock, ie: the same from the datasheets EXCEPT where it is detailed in RED or GREEN, these are the vaules you need to calculate based on the capacity (mAh) of the battery and how many batteries you would be charging, ie: single, dual/tri cells….

My only suggestion is that IDEALY you would need to put a switch in the car that takes the battery out of circuit (ie: disconnects it from the PCB) when it’s being charged. Otherwise you would have some current going into the circuit which would (theoretically) put the sensing circuit on the maxim chips off a bit. I dunno for sure, this is just my thoughts…..

I’m happy to go either way with this one, be it teams based on location or site based teams.

there are pros and cons of each……I don’t think you would need to limit each team members scope of work to just the three major areas (electronics, shell, chassis), as long as each entry has a list accompaning it as to what each team member did that should be cool….

I’m any mod from any site want’s to PM me I’ll be happy to contribute to the prize pool, if we indeed end up having one :approve:.

this is the way with you isn’t it murc? Always building the ultimate “somthing”….

I’d say the mosfet pcb is a lot better than any stock bit pcb, period.

the chop parts cool, I’ve dont that to a few unlucky clones. It’s the rear shock assembly that interests me and the process you do to achieve it.

dude, you just keep spitting them out. Someone didn’t sleep last night!:approve:

You gots to do a step by step tute on how to make the rear end suspension(chopping, the spring, etc, etc…). After the meetup last week I can really see how much that suspension makes a difference. Hell, I’ll host the pics for you so you can have them seen directly in the thread.

    cheers big ears!!!!

Ok, here’s some more eye candy from the meet.

Here’s one of leonli’s chassis he brought to the meet. He’s got this simple but very effective anti-roll mod thing going on the sides of his dual cell beast!

Next we have Microamps’ modded 4chan controller with “extension sticks” lol….

This peak charger of Micro’s absolutely rocks! We all used it on the day!

    Here’s mscharg-ed’s digi-q. Talk about small!

And here’s all our beauties! Too many to list!
