darn tootin’ I’d be needin’ a bigger area.

I’m having issues with my monster tires for the front end so I’ve stayed with the smartland tank ones for the moment. What I have done is add a 3 spring steering assembly to help it track straight.

    finally the pcb is protected….

Once I’ve confirmed everything I’ll eventually clean up the shell and lose that hideous yellow…

    Here’s the battery layout…

I use an old motor terminal contact. just pull it out of the rear motor assembly and it’s shaped well to sit over the top of the original terminal. As noted on the diagram use electrical tape or similar to insulate the original -VE terminal from the new contact. It’s all spaced out on the diagram but it fits, trust me..

All the info can be found here:

    http://www.deagostini.com.au/radiocontrolcar/action.php

    from the FAQ:

    What are the engine specifications?

    Engine type: Mabuchi RS-540SH-7520
    Voltage: 7.2 V
    Speed: 20,000 rpm

How many issues will be in the collection?

Your Radio Control car will be complete in 45 parts.

    Stuff that!

There’s also some video on the site, check it out. The car doesn’t look like it’s going THAT fast. Not as fast as the TV ad makes it out to be anyways……

OK then. Since the last pics I’ve done a fair bit of work to the shell. All that’s left is some finer detailing and a clear coat. Once that’s done it’s all systems(throttle) go!

IT’s all about the small print….

$4.95 the first issue, $15.95 for every issue after that. I’ve been *told* it’s 48 issues……

personally I would just buy a real RC car…..

dude, it ain’t an official TOMY motor, it’s made by bitcharg-motors and distributed though tinyrc.com. Prices are in USD.

    nice review though dude! 🙂

    a few things…..

Yes, both the perfection LXX and the original LXX bits work with this ’cause they both are based on the TX/RX6C chipsets.

Also the TOMY boosters have the single channel addon WITH pcb space already setup to take a transistor for switching purposes…. see the link posted at the begining of this thread to the german bit site with the TOMY mod.

leon, my monster has been a stuff around chassis lately dude and to tell you the truth I was just buggering around with it…..

I’m going through the design stages at the moment for a few different mods that will make use of this function, more to come!

cool dude, I like the gloss on the lambo. one tip though, you should mask the windows even if you’re just doing a gloss ’cause they can come out looking bumpy. This is the same thing that happened on my gt2000 skyline…..

dude, croydon, kilsyth, ringwood & boronia are all adjacent suburbs in Melbourne’s outer east, so they are very close to each other….(used to live in the area)

mt waverly is a 15 – 20 min drive south from ringwood.

phillip island is a loooooooooong way away dude, like a 2 hour(almost) drive from Melbourne, you don’t wanna be going there for a hobby shop (surprised that there’s one down there!)

    cheers,

sometimes the internal travel of the magnet from left to centre and right to centre is not even. When you make it even most of the time the wheels are not straight, this is a major pain in the arse!

lol, you’d be wantin’ to get the speed of each rotor matched otherwise it would make for some pretty interesting areobatics…..
