mine is slightly squeky i tried to clean it all out but the squeek persists. nothing major tho!

speaking of pioneering, i fidled with some aluminium bits and peices and made a bodgy heatsink. youll see it when i can be bothered getting out the camera… its gonna make you laugh thats fer sure.
i started to do the exact same thing with the exploded view in front of me. i stopped took another look and thought damn, there has to be a faster way. easy as piss.

installed the bearing set Aaron kindly sent me. who took an hour to install them? you took apart waaay to much of the car!
if installing bearings just remove the front and rear drive assemblies and pull the shaft out with pliers. the bushings can be swapped out for bearings without going any where near the fiddly pcb board location.
running sweet now. much smoother running ive noticed. i swapped the spacers for the front wheels to the bottome of the knuckle so it sits 1mm lower than standard.
you really need to go and edit that post. just stick a space by hitting the ‘enter’ key in between the pic links.

kyosho are punks! i so woulda got a chassis set if id known, i mean unless yournew tomini-z why would you need another controller and chassis?
what i did need was wheels dammit! the alloy ones look rather nice i must say…

ive heard awfull things about the white ones that lik sang sells, aparently the plasic is prone to staining an awefull yellow when exposed to acids in human sweat… only play while wearing cotton gloves…

i picked mine up this afternoon, 2 km walk home with that nice big box. thankfully some hippies picked me up half way!
whaked some batts in it and attached the antenna, of she went!
it handles slipery tiles very well and after a little layer of dust had built up on the tyres the car was able to perform some nice manuvres like controlled fish tails e.t.c
gave me a taste of what will be possible with some more power under the hood and a change of gearing.
i was a little dissapointed with the white skylines body though, some of the details like the door handles looked like they are slightly obscured from to much paint. especially when compared to the autoscale astra i also got in the box the differeces are quite obvious. id like to see the jade body up close to compare for quality…
also the readyset doesnt come with all the extra wheels like the chassis set! now that is plain rude on kyoshos part i think. now ill have to wait for some option parts to be able to run other bodies…
ah well, ill probably want to paint up my own skyline for it now
good to here that the nm motor really gives that little bit more in performance. with the way in wich the caps are placed on the motor inhibit being able to reverse the nm so that the holes where facing the bottom? im thinking of further modifying one so that the holes have mesh to protect the guts of the car. its a pity there isnt much of a gap above it as some ducted air flow could have been possible…
oh damn i cant wait… bloody slow mail i hates it i does!
in a week, or whenever you get them stick a set in an express envelope to the usual adress A. you know im good for the cash…

slippery tiles is what i have a lot of here inside. lots of room to practice drifting around.
wow Aaron, that setup sounds mad… extremely mad! i dont want any kind of fets in mine, i plan to keep it running stock electronics considering where the motor is.
maybe if i made a shell that had some serious ducted airflow i might consider hotting it up.
ill take your advice though and give it some time before i get you to create the nm for me…

i run my hummer overland with an neo magnet so5 motor (PN) and a light set no worries with stock fets. looks great, drives great… and they are the i-waver light sets. im tempted to get another light set to run 2 at once!
