    Is the Iwaver 02 better than a Mini-z mr02?
My mini-z mro1 is officially dead and I was going to get an mro2 mini-z. Is the Iwaver basically the same? what brand is it? Do they have the same size bearings etc? If its the same and is only $50 for the lot, It wins hands down.:smiley16:

Probably the most inventive and well done paint scheme on a mini-z yet! But now you cant race it.:D:smiley2: If you do race it you must get footage of it in action. It’d look absolutely sick dude.

I only just noticed your pic Jamie and its the same heatsink as mine. Brilliant installation. I might have to mount mine like that. My motor doesn’t heat up half as much as the nelly does though. Atomic bb, plasma arm, neo mag. How did you attach it to your motor? Mine is crudely attached with rubber bands.

I’ve got heatsinks on both my nelly and my motor.
Little black square ones that I got from jaycar and they work quite well. I nearly got the guy at the local hobby shop to sell me a heatsink used in a 1/10 speed control. It came with a little heat transfering adhesive strip to stick it on. It also came with a big power capacitor that I didnt want $$$$$$$$. If this sort of adhesive is strong enough (It should be) it would be much better than screws.:smiley2:

Hey I’ve tried both those motors some time ago. but i can’t remember the results. I think it was before I got a nelly and if i recall correctly i had rewound them with devastating results to my pcb. All I know is I abandoned the idea. I’m using a plasma armature in an atomic case with ball bearings and neo’s and it’s brutal:evil:.But Has anyone tried a brushless motor? What about a larger motor? What size motor can nelly 1.3 handle? where’s the “big block” mini-z…. the blown v8 musclecar mini-z? huh.

Hey Ph I would like to buy one of those nelly’s off you again. the newest raddest version you’ve got. I’ve passed the mini-z bug on to my brother and he needs a turbo for the madforce. Methinks your turbo would be best as it was invented on a madforce. 😀

Ok. thanks for info dudes. I just hope my soldering skills are up to scratch.
I’ve pretty much rooted my other bits. I just hope my new one doesn’t suffer the same fate.

Next time the Nagual comes to Sydney. He’ll get in contact for a race.(I’ve decided to start referring to myself in the 3rd person). You will come to fear the nagual. Or at the at the very least have a good race with him. 👿

Hey ph2t I’m not quite clear as to where nelly’s black and red wires are soldered. Do you have to detatch the wires that go from the batteries to the circuit board, and attatch nelly’s red and black wires straight to the batteries?

busy roads. lol. I have no where close by to test my z, Exept for a busy road. I wait for cars to round the corner and drag them up the road. Should see their faces. ha. Priceless. Until one day when I was totally oblivious to cars coming the OTHER way. duh. Commodores and mini-z’s don’t mix. my dreams (I dream about mini z’s) were shattered.
