Nah I just have sympathy for those who give things a go and don’t have things go quite to plan 😉

*laughs* Don’t forget most of you guys don’t take things as seriously (well maybe you do) as some of the 1/10th guys do. I’m sure Panda can regale us all with tales of people who take 1/10 racing _way_ too seriously.

Um… I’ll try and get home before 6pm, find a home for the pics and post links, then start uploading them before a dinner date with Miss Kitty.

That’s the best combo… You guys can then retry as they come up.

And yes *sigh* dial-up… If anyone workd for Telstra and wants to be nice please let me know in a PM. I’m in a wrangle over the availability of ADSL in the place…

    The vids are excellent.

I’ll up them tonight – being on a modem link means that it takes ages to complete site changes 🙁

I’ve done some business with these guys and the stuff did arrive well packed and in a timely manner. However I did get some sense of not knowing what was going one – their communication or order tracking could be a little better.

Prices were quite sharp – however since a few people ripped them off (PayPal scamming) prices went up.

Any competition we run will have a pool of judges who volunteer for the job. They will not always be moderators.

I’m keen to run a few more Comps as well and hope that once I have the new gallery system coded (it’s the only hold up to rolling in the new code) I can do some work on a proper Competition system.

I know you guys don’t need prizes, but I think it’s only fair we have something for people!

I’ll give you all a hint though… The next comp will be a visual mods one. It will be open to all scales in one hit and will have a climate related theme.

When the comp starts and how long it runs are two unknowns!

At the moment I’m dead set out of time to get anything running. However once the site changes are completed we may see what we can rustle up 😉

Yeah that works just fine. I’ve never heard of any additional wire being needed/used.

Most people stack because it’s easy, and is a fairly well hidden mod with no weight gain etc 😉

Some Mini-Z are quicker than others – component tolerances can work in your favour at times!

Rep points are created as you get involved with the forum, how many threads you start and stuff like that – it’s like a participation meter.

I think I’ll eventually code the code out ….

Yeah I’m a Futaba 3003 user. Killed the odd one here and there. Servo gears like you.

They’re about $20-$35 too so nothing flash.

Jamie if you want to – send me a PM….

However a word to everyone, I won’t be doing this unless you’re changing to a name that better suits you, or have a half decent reason. It’s a pain in the bum to implement, stuffs up threads where people have named users who subsequently no longer exist etc.

However – If the option is creating a new user or changing the name the name change will always win.

    I like Pandas suggestion 😉

They seem to do OK – if you hit a solid object with a single wheel at speed then there’s a chance it’ll crack or break the chassis near where the suspension arms mount.

However that said mines been run into stocks of stuf and it’s still 100% OK…
