Nah I just have sympathy for those who give things a go and don’t have things go quite to plan 😉

Site Owner Guy.*laughs* Don’t forget most of you guys don’t take things as seriously (well maybe you do) as some of the 1/10th guys do. I’m sure Panda can regale us all with tales of people who take 1/10 racing _way_ too seriously.

Site Owner Guy.Yeah you guys export those sorry excuses for beer to us….

Site Owner Guy.Um… I’ll try and get home before 6pm, find a home for the pics and post links, then start uploading them before a dinner date with Miss Kitty.
That’s the best combo… You guys can then retry as they come up.
And yes *sigh* dial-up… If anyone workd for Telstra and wants to be nice please let me know in a PM. I’m in a wrangle over the availability of ADSL in the place…

Site Owner Guy.The vids are excellent.
I’ll up them tonight – being on a modem link means that it takes ages to complete site changes 🙁

Site Owner Guy.Not unless we start talking volume 🙂

Site Owner Guy.*laughs* It’s a Scooby Mystery!

Site Owner Guy.ausmicro.com will provide the replacement FETs for no charge as well.
🙂
Can’t have a member running around with a dead Mini-Z can we!

Site Owner Guy.I have a bunch of pics and video to compose up online from a meet 😉
Any delays are now my fault!

Site Owner Guy.I’ve done some business with these guys and the stuff did arrive well packed and in a timely manner. However I did get some sense of not knowing what was going one – their communication or order tracking could be a little better.
Prices were quite sharp – however since a few people ripped them off (PayPal scamming) prices went up.

Site Owner Guy.Any competition we run will have a pool of judges who volunteer for the job. They will not always be moderators.
I’m keen to run a few more Comps as well and hope that once I have the new gallery system coded (it’s the only hold up to rolling in the new code) I can do some work on a proper Competition system.
I know you guys don’t need prizes, but I think it’s only fair we have something for people!
I’ll give you all a hint though… The next comp will be a visual mods one. It will be open to all scales in one hit and will have a climate related theme.
When the comp starts and how long it runs are two unknowns!

Site Owner Guy.At the moment I’m dead set out of time to get anything running. However once the site changes are completed we may see what we can rustle up 😉
A.

Site Owner Guy.Yup sure did – the FETs shoudl be with you today….If not you get a free express post pack 😉
A.

Site Owner Guy.Yeah that works just fine. I’ve never heard of any additional wire being needed/used.
Most people stack because it’s easy, and is a fairly well hidden mod with no weight gain etc 😉
A.

Site Owner Guy.Yeah I found a description about it somewhere on the support forum for the code… promptly forgot it about 5 minutes later.
If i could figger out what to use it for …..

Site Owner Guy.Some Mini-Z are quicker than others – component tolerances can work in your favour at times!
A.

Site Owner Guy.Rep points are created as you get involved with the forum, how many threads you start and stuff like that – it’s like a participation meter.
I think I’ll eventually code the code out ….
A.

Site Owner Guy.Not at the moment 😉 But spare ESC s;)

Site Owner Guy.Yeah I’m a Futaba 3003 user. Killed the odd one here and there. Servo gears like you.
They’re about $20-$35 too so nothing flash.

Site Owner Guy.Jamie if you want to – send me a PM….
However a word to everyone, I won’t be doing this unless you’re changing to a name that better suits you, or have a half decent reason. It’s a pain in the bum to implement, stuffs up threads where people have named users who subsequently no longer exist etc.
However – If the option is creating a new user or changing the name the name change will always win.
I like Pandas suggestion 😉
A.

Site Owner Guy.No worries at all – and BTW folks you gotta be nice to admin to do a name change 😉 It’s not not hard, but it makes me think 😉
A.
--
Site Owner Guy.*laughs* pretty much replacing the servo is the ‘cheapest’ option. Unless the Sanwa is a hi-dollar job 🙂
--
Site Owner Guy.They seem to do OK – if you hit a solid object with a single wheel at speed then there’s a chance it’ll crack or break the chassis near where the suspension arms mount.
However that said mines been run into stocks of stuf and it’s still 100% OK…
