I use and recommend Tamyia X-19 “Smoke” spraypaint. It’s desigmed for “tinting” the windows of 1/10 and 1/8 scale shells, nut works just fine on Bit Char-G bodies.

Will set you back around AUD8.00/USD4.50 a can. One can will do a couple of hundred cars!

Another way – and probably a lot easier is to look in your local telephone directory for car autoshops and give them a call. They may have some off-cuts of proper window tint plastic that they’ll give to you or charge you a small amount. You then simply apply it to the inside of your car.

Hi Endox,

What you have there is an OEM Bullet- they are copies of the original TOMY Bit Char-G cars. They do cost a lot less, but the build quality isn’t as good as the TOMY cars. If you get five minutes, check out my website for more info on all the available cars.

Hello guys,

I just picked up two packs of the 3.6 V batteries from Jay Car…….Man the thing freakin flies now !!

Run time is in the 5 or six minute range – pretty small capacity at only 43 MAH – howeve rit is so damned quick that you cant really concentrate on it for longer than that !!

This is in fact my bit charg A – oem car that I use to perform “experiments” on – that is about all they are worth in my opinion – sounds harsh – however I highly recommend getting the “REAL DEAL” when it comes to these cars 🙂

The great thing is that once you take the tabs off the cells – it plonks straight into the BIT with no mods :

The only realproblem is the fact that you cant put the clear plastic cover over the electrics……not a real drama though – I am just using some clear scotch tape at this time – until I can work something more appropriate out :

Just have to play around with gearing now…… a bit slow to start with this standard oem set – even though it will pull the front wheels off the deck if you go from reverse to forward !! Have to do something about that paint job…….

One interesting point is that I no longer have steering problems with the car – obviously because of the increased voltage to the coils……

Next project will be a nice 2.4 conversion in my other oem – this should provide the best of both worlds – more speed – and better steering and less weight than the standard battery…..

I still wish there was a 1.75 volt cell that dropped straight in – this would fix everyones steering problems !!

i acutally used one of those overhead markers to tint my window red….it looks pretty nice…..u can’t notice the darker spots unless u look really closely….(u gotta do a pretty good job though)….well its not that hard….just don’t be sloppy….yah….lol another cool cheap mod to do is to put electrical tape on ur rear tires for the drifting experience! hehehe its so much fun!…..lemme capture a pic for ya guys…..*5 min later*…oh i wanted those super hyper white bulbs for headlights but those LEDs are hella expensive! like 5 bucks a piece for the 3mm…..or maybe my local electronics store is rippin me off….but i went to radio shack and bought a huge pack of assortment LED’s for like a dollar….save me some money…and plus yellow doesn’t look so bad….and man! i lost my spoiler for the GTR! i’m so mad!….

kitt – that one you pointed to is interesting, but i would still prefer the casio. it has higher resolution, and 1meg storage allowing for 100 pics!

i wanted to attach some images of my cars taken with the wrist camera, but could not see how to do it (feel stoopid now) as my images are not stored online.

As I suspected, the high tops hide some chunky electronics. Still, they’re proportional! And the radio doesn’t look too bad either.

These look real interesting. Proportional steering? Why such pedestrian covers? Are they hiding a whole bunch of electronics or could we slap decent covers on them. What’s the actual scale? It looks smaller than epoch racers – from the picture it’s about the same size as a matchbox or hotwheels car. It would be very cool indeed if we could change bodies, swap crystals and get proportional steering. Almost worth the $75US ToyEast are charging.

Someone help! We crave information! Maybe I’ll contact Toy East and get them to update their site a bit. Perhaps send us some pictures.

Tell me about NIMH batteries? I might be able to get some the right size – what battery stats am I looking for? Didn’t someone say the OEM bullets have NIMH batteries??

I have a peak detect charger at home that can handle between 1 and 12 cells with auto cut-off. I thought I might give that a try. Perhaps rig up little charging stand from Bullet parts.

Blame the post. I live in New Zealand and had a bunch of stuff shipped from the states. The US postal ‘service’ charges like a wounded bull then invariable ‘misplaces’ the parcel. If you only lose fourty bucks or so, consider yourself lucky. The good ole US postal service lost over $800 for me and I’ve never been able to get anything out of them. I’d never order anything from the States again because of that. Happily I’m in Singapore now so when ordering from Toy East it’s up to the Hongkong mail and Singapore mail to get me my stuff. They did a fine job last time so I’m preparing to place a larger order.

You’re in the right place my friend, just go check out the FAQ section. Yours is an OEM which basically means it’s a slightly cheaper copy of the original Tomy Bit Charg E.

Here you’ll find mods ranging from headlights and paintjobs through to complete tear it apart and turn it into something different jobs.

Well, I made an order from Toy East in May and got lost in the mail. I have e-mail them like a million times about the problem and the only answer that I got from them is that I have to getan official letter from my postal office telling them that I never got the package. They dont’ even give me a credit so I could re-order the stuff that I really want. Really piss me off that they don’t even care.
