Couple of things this could “possibly” do. I’m in NO WAY suggesting that it does in fact do this.
1) reduce noise coming from the motor, this would allow the receiver to get a cleaner and more responsive signal from the remote
2) it might help with the stuttering problem that some 3.0 motors have.
3) It helps get rid of the initial spike from the motor starting up, giving you a longer run time
4) It could give a storage medium for when you let off the “gas” at which point the motor becomes a generator. This would effectively give you a slightly longer run time.
Feel free to dispute this and say it doesn’t work, as I have not tested any of it.
pretty neat trucks……too bad they are 41,000 yen a piece (approx. $410 US)
I really rate RL0725- My brother ordered a bit-racer gear set off him which had been advertised as for Bit Char-g. between my brother sending the cash and the guy getting it, he realised they weren’t suitable for bit char-gs so he sent my brother his money back as well as the gears…
that’s service…
He’s the only guy I’ve used, and agree with everything people have written on here- quick delivery, quick service and well-packaged. I wouldn’t buy off anyone else…
Same here. It took just over a week and well worth it, I might add. Have fun when you get it!
Totally off the subject, oven cleaner also takes tire marks out of your driveway.

Is any specific brand of oven cleaner better or are they all the same? I’ve never really had experience with the stuff.
? And what can I say, my hats off to another MAC person.

Awesome! Count me as the third..been a Mac man since I was 4!
Dirk_Gent: Actually, i used supplies at hand. I filled in the rear deck with a hot glue gun. I gooped it in, used a heated Xacto blade to slice as much excess as possible. Sprayed w/ some primer I had for my real car. and painted it. The leather interior, leather convertible top envelope, and Leather bra is made of….Black electrical tape!! hehehe…
Floydski: But of course! and a cool place to hostonline images without ugly banners or restrictions. Mac.com just rocks my socks!
David: The front end of the chasis has a tab. the front end of the body has a slot. What i did was take a hot knife, cut a similar slot above the existing one. You will probably cut thru the body, but I just patch it with a dab of putty. You can do the same w/ the rear end but you will find that there isn’t enough tire clearance.
Hey just remember if you buy a Mini-z we’ll still want you hanging around! *grins* I’d love one but I have my 1/10th ‘lectric and the Char-gs and my Taiyo Cans….another platform (and a $$ one at that) is just too much..
Aaron
JP,
Thanks for the translation. What about the other link, does that mention why they are doing this?
Hi there,
It’s my first post :smiley15:
Just want to let both Derek and Aaron know that both of you have done an excellent job in maintaining and updating this site. :smiley10:It’s not easy to run a message board and does take alot of your time.
I’m all new to this as i only recently got my Bit Charg and without this site, I wouldn’t know anything about the modifications or other optionsavaliable for my Bit Charg.:smiley4:
Unfortunately it will only take a few to spoil it for everyone else, so please consider the other people who use this message board for it’s purpose. No one likes their pride and joy to be destroyed.
Hey i was wondering if you could go more in-depth on the lowering of the front cause thats pretty bad ass and i dont understand what you mean with the blunt description up above. I would greatly appreciate it. Dave
sorry bout that zeroBXU!!! someone else told me they couldnt use ordinary nail polish either…Im a goof. Anyways ive been using some cheap “non-acetone” nail polish remover for quite a while now and to my suprise, no harm yet. I was wondering if ordinary nail polish remover destroyed your bit body right away or did it take a while???
Really cool modification.
And what can I say, my hats off to another MAC person.

Great Mod Gigabite,
Did you use modeling putty to patch the back area and make the “envelope” ? cool profile too.
I would think so.. but you need your bands to be small enough to tighly grip the rims so they don’t roll loose around them. Do they even make rubber bands that small and that wide? Would be an intresting experiment… what’s next.. rubber cement… painted latex wheels.. heh e
I’ll answer two questions at once…
Oven cleaner – this is a “trick-of-the-trade” for people into plastic modeling (aircraft, cars, Gundams, whatever) to get lousy paint jobs off their models. It should be okay on Bit Char-G cars, and I’ve heard it referenced before for that purpose.
Nail polish remover – DON’T USE IT!!! I tried it on a bad paint job I gave a clear Bit Char-G Accord body (yes–I did a bad paint job:smiley9: ) and the nail polish remover didn’t remove the paint, but did manage to ruin the body to the point where I could pull it apart (not “snap it apart”) with my fingers.
zEro, Won’t the oven cleaner eat up the plastic? I used that stuff to polish my bike frame and remove some paint off my plastics, it actually ate up part of the urethane.
Try S-01 green 3.43:1 gear, or the red 3.95:1 gear. I found that 2.2 motors still have enough torque to push the S-01 gears, and the ratio boosts the top speed a bit. The GS-03 gears work better withMotorola / 2.6 / 3.0 / 3.8 motors. If you use the S-01 gearings, the take off is incredibly weak.
My absolute best gear/motor combo is a 3.8 w/a 12:1 gearing modified with the smaller front diameterrims/tires. The takeoff is always quick (w/hard tires it always peels out!).
Id love to hear what other combos anyone else has found very good.

I was actually able to “clear” out all my bit bodies, including the ones that came factory painted, using ordinary nail polish remover, butoven cleaner sounds pretty interesting….Im gonna try that one.
zeroBXU — thanks I’ll try that!
frozensi — You can eat a big one, k? k!
It’s really fast but I don’t like it near as much as the RX-7 because of the studdering. I know I should do the antenna mod but I wish it would just work as well as the RX-7 out of the box. I would actually consider a trade at this point. Oh well, maybe I’ll figure it out.
Kyle
Nope checked again .. my answers remain the same ..
You can always buy my subaru body. 😀
