I had the steeringproblem with my fake char-g I pulled the whole car apart and nothing fixed it took the controler apart and it worked. I’m not sure how I did it.
with this reckoning though, would you have to replace both switches on one of the buttons? like not possible to just replace the left and not the right button (what I want to do)?
HI! Ive got a G-04 45MHZ skyline and ive just taken cotroller apart and found no cripple cap?but did finda cap with number 8 just behind L3 and and in front of c4 by the tx chip!Is this anything???Cheers
BUY THE WAY THESE SWITCHES ARE SLIGHTLY BIGGER SO WHAT I DID WAS I GOT MY FLAT NOSE PLIERS AND STRAITINED THE NEW SWITCHES LEGS THEN BENT THEM IN SLIGHTLY YOULL SEE WAT I MEAN!THEN WITH A STANDARD NEEDLE I SLIGHTLY MADE THE HOLES WHERE THE ORINGINAL PINS WERE SLIGHTLY BIGGER JUST ENOUGH FOR THE PINS TO FIT THROU!THEN PUSH THE SWITCH IN AND TRY AND GET IT AS CLOSE TO THE BOARD AS YOU CAN!THEN FLATEN THE PINS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF BOARD TO BRING THE SWITCH EVEN CLOSER!THEN SOLDER UP OH BY THE WAY YOU CAN USE VASALEAN AS A GREASE!!!!THEN ITS JUST A MATTER OF USEING YOUR SOLDERING IRON TO MELT A GROVE IN YA CONTROLLER BUTTON AND YOUR AWAY !!!!!!!!!
Don’t Use Halogen! Those things take way to much current. You’re batteries won’t last very long. Gomisan is right, use white LED’s. You can pick some up at Radio Shack. They also have blue ones. You’ll have to read the back of the package because they come in different voltages but the blue and white ones are usually around 3V so hook them up in parellel with a lithium battery and you’ll be lighting the way for a long time. If you get red or another color LED they will be lower voltage so you’ll need a stepdown resister in series with the led. If you mail me the specs of the LED’s you’re going to use (voltage and current draw) and what battery you’re going to use I’ll tell you what resistor you need or if you even need one.
YES!Its pretty simple just remember to put some solder grease around where your gunna solder so youdont spill any solder onPCB then you should be all right!To get them off i had a little sucker pump which you push down until clicks then when solder heats up i push the button and the pump sucks the runny solder up leaving no mess and very simple then with a pair of pliers pull the switch off gently….SWEET AS!!!!!!

maybe your doing it in series? the lights should be set up in parrallel to give both lights enough juice. u might already know that so dont bite my head off…
