The best ones i’ve seen use white LEDs powered by a lithium CR2016 or 2032 cell.

I’m guessing that picture is taken from the Tokyo Toy Show. Was it from the 2002 event? Never seen it before. Definitely looks like a Bit Char-G, a racing truck. Lacks colour though IMO.

sorry about the stand alone charger, maybe if you just hooked it up to the normal controller that would be great. Like in that pic.

Thanks guys. Hey jamie my cam doesnt work so no pic unfortunatley. Would anyone accept $20 or maybe a char-g (in great condition) to make it run awesome? Cause i could send you out the char-g if you were to make a duel battery mod for it and also fix the stand alone charger. Maybe you could pervide a proper battery for it aswell. Cause mine is for my clone… Please cause i really wanna have it working. Also maybe if it was the duel battery but with both batteries in the conceled in the car if ya know what i mean….

get back to me asap please. there could be a new charg coming to you… 😉

I didnt say capacitors..i said AEROGEL CAPACITORS

Yesh but with lithiums they take many hours to charge. Caps take….well theycan pretty much beinstantaneously charged.

Wish they had nimhs that you could squish into any shape. theres a fair bit of space wasted by ’round batteries’. and there i a fair old bit of space in the bcg chassis.

The turning prob is very typical of bcg. I thought it was the car at first (it sorta is) but one of the buttons has lost its click, and seems to have a high resistance contact, so if i press Xtra hard my car turns tighter circles (only when turning left)

hrmm, looked at some db25 style ones I had at home last night but they looked a bit long. might try and find some shorter ones.

need a proper sized drill bit first anyway. did you have any trouble getting them in?

thanks for the tip about trying the lube/wd40. will give that a go.

pretty sure the joints don’t need resoldering.

my switch seems to maybe be getting worse, so I’ll have to try something. it definitely seems to have a tighter right turning circle than left now. not sure if that’s about the button though?

would be interested to find out if anyone knows of dick smith or jaycar having specific parts which would work.

Well why dont you go the whole hog and buy mini proportional joysticks, andmake a 555 based pulse width modulator? Then you’re bit would have proportional control.

Those cox engines are buggers to start, especially when you have .010 size ones, takes ages to start, and when yo get it to start, you suddenly realise it’s almost out of fuel :smiley3:
