I wish AusMicro would get rid of the star system – I think a lot of people just post for the sake of posting, post the same thing more then once, or post twenty replies when they could have said it in one (or they could edit the previous post instead of posting again) to just boost their post quantity and/or star rating.

well…..nicads/nimhs are 1.2 volts. Get a NiMh cell cause they are have about triple the capacity, and maintain high voltage over 80% of the discharge curve, as opposed to nicads poor capacity, and maintained voltage over only 50% of the discharge curve.

The verdict: Nimh cell will go just as fast, but for far longer. Though they do have a little higher internal resistance than nicads.

well i reckon thats why they fit cripple capacitors, so they don’t have enough range to interfere with ambulances etc.

It is not a true 4WD machine. Power is delivered only to the rear wheels. I’m sure Kyosho would love to pack in a drivetrain to get power to the front wheels, however, it would be a VERY tight squeeze in a 1:24 body.

If you must have 4WD in something smaller than a 1:10 scale nitro or electric, look at the HPI Micro RS4 (1:18 scale). Not quite as small or cool as the Mini-Z but they ARE 4WD. And they’re somewhat pricer than the Zs (AUD400+ vs AUD260)

As for car sales, just wait until 1 November if you can :smiley2:

why not get that Bit char-g instead – two of my mates have them and Im fed up salivating when I listenn to the fun the’ve had.

Going to out do them both though and get a mini-z and race-prep it big style … unless someone recommends otherwise ?

From what i understand 3.8 are only cheap imitations i dont think that tomy make a 3.8 so you may only be able to get a fake one
