jamie, remember ph2t’s original monster? that pushed 20 kph, accurately measured on micro amps’ dyno. that was a single stack dual cell. he’s using the same drivetrain setup in this one, and this is a quad cell with triplestack fets. do tha math!:8ball:
hey jamie, http://www.toyeast.com/subcatlist2.asp?catid=1198
clear chassis come with most perfection cars now:8ball:the vanquish died!?? NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!:8ball:
the deed is done!

that’s me, leon (after he was informed that there are NO free samples from the ferrari stand:D), and canabits. it was good to catch up with our first (?) international guest! canabits is from a slot car background and has a crew of about 14 loonies like us that get together for some friendly bcg stock car racing back home. he got a head chock fulla cool ideas, moulding his own gearsets and a whole buncha other stuff!:p got to eyeball the micro semi’s he brought for leon, nice looking things, and perfect for modding. they have a longer wheelbase than bcg and i’m told there’s room for a triple cell, no sweats! similar to zz’s.
so have a blast while your here can-(mista unexpected sunburn!)-abits, try to have a break when you get home!:D:8ball:Edited by – betty.k on 03 March 2004 16:06:31
bloody pinko hippy!!:D:8ball:
fast, but not lots of torque. that’s why i suggest the dual with fets. if it’s too fast use a slower motor. i’m certainly interested in a genuine 2 speed offroader, shift into first for the climbs and top gear on flat/downhill runs. i’m excited!!:p:8ball:
i’d cut to the chase and go a dual cell with fets. if you can track down some 1/4 AAA nimh batts like the ones found in enertecs or digi q cars. they’re small and light, great for projects like this:8ball:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA:p:8ball:
nice work!! i love a classic:smiley2::8ball:
sounds interesting, you mean a gear change as opposed to a voltage boost yeah? love to see that, you could use the lxx 4 ch pcb perhaps so you can shift up, down with the boost buttons
also, could you point me in the direction of some pics of the inner workings of a wild cg? i’ve never seen one yet:8ball:Edited by – betty.k on 01 March 2004 16:38:15
good stuff b, just what it needed!:8ball:
ooo, i’m interested in the zz se steering fix, it’s just too confusing trying to work out which board i have and which mod to do for me to attempt any fiddling at the moment:8ball:
YEAH BAYBEE!!!:p
top stuff big guy! i think the italian type sports car shells look great on an offroader chassis, damn fine job! don’t be discouraged by the tools and materials, i use scrap rubbish, found parts, drill holes with screwdrivers, grind parts down on concrete, and i only use a ruler to draw straight lines! just hunt around your home, steal your mum’s nailfiles for sanding, whatever!
top setup mate, hell you’ve even painted the wheels!:p lovin’ the h plate, looks very effective. but don’t stop there, it’s SPRING time in the north aint it!?:8ball:Edited by – betty.k on 29 February 2004 23:23:28
sure do!:8ball:
i’ve never had a problem with toyeast, always been prompt with delivery and email replies.
we’s hungry for your questions, bring it on!!:8ball:
cool, i meant to say turns in my earlier post.:smiley2: i might have a go at it myself!
i’m wondering what difference it makes using different thicknesses of wire? fatter wire, more torque?:8ball:how’s about you just post a new thread on how to anodize stuff, or you’ll be writing a lotta pm’s. we don’t keep secrets here:8ball:
hmm, i was wondering if you could define “winds” for me.:8ball:
be carefull, i bought one of these deals and both cars were 27mhz, which didn’t bother me. but if you want 2 to race together then buy 2 different ones in the lxx section. it works out to be the same price anyway:8ball:
ok cool. go to a bearing specialist and pay $50 – 100 for your 20c sized ceramic ones then. $15 a skateboard bearing? you gotta stop shopping in japan!:8ball:
well blow me down with a feather! do i get an ausmicro boardgame or something! 😀 how about a t shirt with “everyone’s looking at my dirty bits” written across it!?:8ball:
go to a skateboard shop!:8ball:
yep, dat’s us! now you’ve seen how much concrete i got you’ll understand why i took ’em outside in the beginning! i just had to make the most of it:D:8ball:
dat’s right kiddies, wheelie poppin air pullin’ action! do yaself a favour:8ball:
