lol, ph2t…I remember once that you used an Xray M18 16T pinion gear in your Madforce…assuming that this gear is the same gear pitch as that, and that the Madforce and Mini-Z Racers have the same gear pitch, you could probably go insane on the Tamiya Speed Checker and use this (along with an Overland Ball Differential):

😯 That’d sacrifice a lot of torque, but with Nelly…:dead:

    Amazing stuff as usual, ph2t…

About the thin H-plate: With the MM mount, does the H plate show any signs of cracking, splintering or breaking?

And, how does the springless oil shock contribute to the handling? Wouldn’t it be almost the same as removing it?

cool stuff…You said that you’re using a 3×2 stack of IRF7317’s, but in the vid, I see those trademark rainbow wires and that plug for the motor wires…Something you hiding from us? 😯

Check the front wheels…unscrew the lug nuts and see if there’s any gunk in them like carpet hairs or stuff like that. If there is, that could cause more friction in one wheel, which lets the other one rotate faster, which leads up to some turning. Since it spins out to the left, there could be problems with the left front wheel spinning, because it might have more friction in it than the front right wheel…

From ikinari’s website, with a regular Kyosho MR02, I’m guessing you can fit a 2×2 stack, but with some cutting and a bit modding you could possibly fit a 4×2 stack.

Yeah, but what I meant is, if I work at a fast food restaurant, then I might tend to eat some of the fast food, and….well…*puffs up cheeks and sticks out belly* You get the idea. 😯

Well, since I only had so much money to spend, and I needed better batteries, and I was lacking any good AA batteries, I went to Wal-mart today to pick up 4 IC-3 AA batteries. I popped em in the charger for 8-10 (out of only 15) minutes. I adjusted the gear mesh properly, took it outside and gunned the throttle.

    smileeek.gif

This thing was about 3x as fast with a stock setup and 4 AA alkaline batteries! I had a lot of fun with it, zooming both uphill and downhill. It drifts really well in the dirt and on the smooth driveway (you heard me…it drifts!!!) Speed isn’t as fast as my friend’s nitro, but it’s fast enough to wake you up from boredom. It wheelies nicely too…start off in reverse, then JAM it forward, you’ll be amazed. That’s only with the super spin bearing set and 4 IC-3 AA’s! I can’t imagine how much more fun it’d be with a nice battery pack and a hotter motor…just insane.

Bottom line: A Mini-T with bearings and just 4 IC-3 AA’s, just 75% charged….I don’t even know how to put it. JUST BUY IT!!!

Oh, and make sure you properly adjust your gear mesh! Here’s a little help on how, scroll down to where it says “stop stripping gears”.

haha…for birthday money, I got $71 total, and a cool jacket and shirt, plus birthday cards. Oh, and on the day of my birthday (Saturday) me and my family all had a great dinner at the best restaurant out there…The Cheesecake Factory!

Out of the $71 I had, I spent $5 on school food… (I know what you guys are thinking…”Those bloody fat-arse yanks!”)…so now I have around $65 birthday money left over, plus $101 of allowance, so I can spend around $166!!! (USD) Not sure what to spend it on yet…

CB the nelly technicaly has a regulator in it.. it doesnt run thrught the main pcb it supplys 5v to it and the full amount ot fo the packs so u can run more power then the pcb can handle ne ways

Umm..the idea I had was that you would install, let’s say, a high voltage battery pack on the car, using a regulator to keep it safe for the main board…but with nelly 1.3’s mosfet driver technology, you could hook the source (red and black) wires directly to the full voltage of the battery pack, so that you’d not only be keeping it safe for the main board and letting full power go to the nelly/motor, you’d also be turning on the nel…

    Ah, never mind.

BTW ph2t, what are the new mosfets used in nelly 1.3?
