http://www.aca.gov.au are the authorities on frequencies in Australia. 27 and 40 are the only legal RC (for any hobby I think) frequencies. Not overly sure. You wanna know, you do the reading.

The race reference was just because not all of us use our RC cars to drive to the shop to get micro bread, or to drive the lego kids to school. I’m not a huge fan of motor racing either.

Screen print T’s would be cheaper than emboiderred T’s by a considerable amount. They’ll be collectors items either way.

I think the logo as it appears on the top of this page would have to be the logo used. Product recognition and all that. Perhaps Trading Direct would want a sleve logo because of their sponsorship too.

Is there a Clone manufacturer that we could get white shells from cheaper perhaps? For BCGs and MiniZs. That way the shells might be a body type we don’t all already have. Obviously the quality of the shell is an issue also – it needs to be of reasonable quality or no one will buy them.

I think changing the logo would be a shame, and to that end it’d have to be on a white Tshirt. i think centre of chest, maybe nothing on the back. Oh, I know, I know. Pit crew, or Driver, or Grand Prix Access all areas or something. In all caps, nice and bold.

I suppose Trading Direct might even claim a sleve logo mention as a sponsor??

The decal could say “my other car is a 1:1” hahahaa

I’ll have to watch Pauls clip again to make sure we’re all talking about the same burnout.

No smoke, not from the car anyway. =o)-~

The Paul and Dave go Crazy video…

Yup. 1 min 50 into it we lift the arial to reduce the grip of the tire on the track. It’s done with a 1.0 motor. Wiggled the hand a little to simulate the drift of a burnout and lowerred the car while releasing the arial.

    Hollywood special effects demistified.

I like the Supra body, but the fairlady/booster set. Treuno set sounds good because of the upgrades.

I think as Kitty said, cost being a factor, and porbably a big one, the cheapest 1st step would be the stickers. DGS works at a sticker place, so there might even be a mates rates deal happening. I and others have offerred to do the graphic work. They’re also easy to post.

a bumper sticker with “My other car is 1/64 this size”, and the logo under it. hahahaaa.

Tshirts and other items if all goes well in he sticker front.

I still like the decal idea, and they (A&D) could print those at home on a bubblejet once they buy the decal paper. Only outlay would be the paper and some ink, and postage is no more than a standard letter. Surely you would get ove a hundred to a page at BCG or even MiniZ scale, and the current logo gif or jpg could be used (scale down the print size by increasing the dpi of the image).

I believe multiple hits aren’t counted. I may be wrong though, you would have to check with Aaron on that one.

I could try and throw together a bloopers video, but it would basically be a bunch of clips of 2 cars making it through the shicanes, round the long bend, then turning the wrong way at the end of the straight… stuff like that. Just stupid errors because you’re panicing about getting it right for film. probably funnier for Paul and I than anyone else.

    Real sponsors would be great!

The white Skyline 2000 GTR pullbacks would be the cheapest way to get already manufactured white bodies, unless someone has a contact at Tomy, or LXX, or some other clone company.

Then there’s the MiniZ side of things. I don’t know much about MiniZs, but a shell for those would need to be an option too.

Looks like DGS is a possible answer to Aarons prayers – someone in the sticker biz. Can you do decal sheets there Dave?

Sounds like good advice. And the visible part of the PB rims are black in the pictures. Do they have spokes, or are they solid? What style are they (too hard to see in the pictures I ve seen so far).

The PHAT rims are the Aluminium ones yeah?

Can we get a front and rear shot of the car with the pullback rims with a body on the chasis so we can all see how much the tires stick out the side please.

    Cheers

The problem I had with the metal tweezers was trying to get dust off the steering coil just next to the magnet. I didn’t lose the spring, but I had to put the magnet back on the steering knuckles again. I just wasn’t thinking. Tweesers are good, but I think I’ll get me some plastic ones for the Bit tool kit.

Sounds like a good mod then, and those tires have more traction too I hear (softer and wider).

If I could get the original image of the car, I’m pretty sure I could recreate the logo in PaintShop or PhotoShop. The rest is just text, and few shapes, after all. But we love it and I’m getting the tattoo wednesday. =o)

AusMicro Condoms. With the logo and the “Size does matter”. Now there’s a seller. Except the word Micro might put people off. Perhaps if we ship them to USA Govt… That’s an old urban myth anyway. 😀
