i got the track… you guys can organise that…:smiley2::D
And after going through them all agian I noticed i’d managed to avoid the other side of the camera lens again… yay:p
betty; I dont think I was going to get away with making a track and leaving Bithed off it, advertising wise… ph2t: at this rate, bout 10 – 15 mins (with two people.) Given that it’s 16 x 36 foot, that aint bad. Kev; cheers mate. They look sweet…:smiley2::approve::smiley16:
where you getting the Ausmicro stickers from?:smiley2::D hahaha

Quote:i`m looking forward to seeing all these new layouts, who`s in for this sunday? i`m working out a joshiestyle tricky section, can`t say too much (& no pete, it`s not a jump!!) but might have it ready for the weekend..details mate… we want details
why not? Everything else i’ve sent has… i’ll retry today. And yes, with 4 foot wide lanes, there is room to hang a big enough logo. You’re getting free advertising here dood…:smiley2:
lol… hang on, Razor? As in the little scooter? Struth…
my stuff is 25mm round… they had no 20mm, but the outer thickness of your material will fit tight inside the inner diametre. It is all done now, even the banners ,etc. Got it all at an electrical wholesaler around the corner from my work… saved myself 50%+ of what Bunnings quoted me…:smiley16:
my track gets done this afternoon… a massive 16 foot by 32 foot. Who else is going tomorrow night?
if I dont watch myself i’ll be in the same boat.. and this is the only pc access I have…

similar to an email i’ve got here… sort of… involves a bird anyway… and a very quick baseball pitch. Ultimate case of wrong place, wrong time
oh picky picky… like any of us can afford any of the models available anyway… (ok, maybe 1/24…:smiley2:)
that Tuscan is da bomb… luv the TVRs:approve:
Quote:those things are fast.that extention cord/hose thing is what we(or use to) do in sydney.
those xmods didnt seem toooo worried about the groves in the surface, a z would be shiting itself everytime it went over those things!
not any more, TD… we’ve gotten all proffesional-like!!! No more hose… Chino; i’ve got a Z chassis that tumbles and flips well past the 4 ft. mark, you’re right about the bodies however! (up to my 6th or 7th (lost count) on my fetted chassis…
there you go, Pete…:D
it would decrease the width of corners Kev, but you’re onto something. I’m heading out to Bunnings this Friday afternoon to get; 44 lengths of 4ft. long 20mm round pvp piping, about 20 straight joints, 10 T joins and 10 L joins. The layout will be the same as Roe’s (for those of you that’ve seen it), but with 4 foot wide lanes all round. This added to Roe’s stuff will make for a huge track, with almost unlimited layout possibilities. (Just mine layed out in the original layout comes in at 16 by 32 foot. Oh yeah…!!!:approve::D:p:):smiley2:
Quote:Quote:i’ve got shocks at the rear dood… friction, not roll though. And yes, the Merc is wider and lower, changing the centre of gravity. Still got the Kyosho roll shocks? I’ll grab em on Sunday if you still want to sell em… Will give them a try but I dont think it’s going to helpG10 O-plate offers more flex than the stiff CF one.:)
damn it, I know this stuff… your O plate would still be too stiff for my other Z Kev, hence the reason I want try roll shocks. If no-one else wants those roll shocks TD, i’ll take em… (whatever happened to first in, best dressed, anyway?) Has Josh contacted you about them? Does he have ready $$? These questions and more answered on Sunday…
it’ll be the same on the outside… the chassis has already been fixed, the shell will be silver again but the logos will be black, white and gun metal, to match the inch-ups that’ll appear on it soon(ish)… As it is for the moment, i’ve just stuck all the bits back into the front, so it’llstay togother for a little longer (as long as I dont rear-end any 1/10s in the meanwhile…)
after seeing the replay again yesterday (not the whole race again; i’m not nuts… just the highlights), and saw that roo only just got clipped… hit the tail and rear left flank, but damn did it fly… poor thing… at least it would’nt have suffered. Made a meal of the Castrol car, too
I feel like crying… it was my prettiest artwork effort yet… oh well, the layout’s still in the pc here at work… maybe (very likely actually)he’ll be reborn.

Kev; yes, plus the odd straight join and t- joins… the thing is awesome
What I confirmed from YESTERDAY’S GTG…
1: A mini Z should not really be raced amongst 1/10 scale cars, no matter how fast the Z.
2: A mini Z that does over 60k’s need alot of space to pull up. A hell of alot.
3: Polycarbonate bodies, despite being thicker than lexan, is not very good at absorbing impact at 60k’s.
4:Team Associated make a very sweet ride… pulls up unreal too.
5: Mini Zs sould not be driven at top speed into the rear end of stationary 1/10’s (it pulled up sooo quick!!!)
My gtr shell has packed it in… after two (2) runs… Blew up the whole front end. RIP Madman…
4:interesting… but we already have an r/c club… nothing too big, just a tight group of us having fun. I dont think we planned to go to the number of people that they’ve got (400?!?! I’ll race more than once a day, thanks), but the track is done (and about to double in size; Roe – can you give me a buzz this evening…), and costs are neglegable. Which makes me think; if we did go to the extent of this (clearly American – all they left out was the price of the rcp track and where to order it…), the cost of everybody running and every other little thing, I think (KNOW) half of our little group of Zers would give it away. Our motto; keep it simple, fun, and cheap(ish). This way anyway, we could have little factions here and there (West Sydney v.s Nth Beaches race, etc.)
i’d rather have the extra movement the h plate/ roll shock gives you… a c/f o plate is too stiff in the rear, promotes the spinning out, as you’ve all seen on the GTR from time to time
