You can get away with just one alloy gear, the first one, but this, on big impacts will break the 2nd gear. Since i had broken like 6 1st servo gears, i had plenty of 2nds left.

I’d say go alloy 1st, you have to have a BIG crash to break the 2nd…..i.e. hit something at 40km/h would break something.

If you go all alloy, then its going to be tie rods/knuckles that are the weak point, ask betty.k , he has all 3 alloy gears.

But that is under NO LOAD WHATASOEVER.

The tamiya SC still takes some effort to move 4 rollers, and the friction from the tyres.

the axle of the left wheel rotates inside the right wheel, if you spin the left wheel one way, you’ll notice the right wheel spinning the other, but the lug nut of the right wheel rotating the same way of the left wheel (that, or should I speak English?)

This is called a differential u moron, its meant to do that, this gives much more cornering traction and stability than a locked axle.

The wheels have wider offset and width to fit the wide body cars.

Also the front wheel bearings are 2x6x2, the rear bearings are 3x6x2.

This is how I charge my batteries.

Get a large cup of icy water, and a plastic polythene bag.

Put the batteries in the bag, and throw in the cup, make sure that the batteries don’t get wet.

This way you can charge the cells at 2+A without them overheating to self destruction.

The other alternative is Rayovac IC3’s

These are self delta peak charging cells that fully charge in 15 minutes…..i am yet to get any but i hear they are great.

    Trent, i’d reccomend 1/10 4wd off road,

nitro or electric, both can be fast, both have pro’s and cons.

ph2t, have you considered different oils for the shocks?? Most LHS’s have 100ml or so bottles, which is enough for about 5 refills on a 1/10.

What weight oil is in them as standard??

changing oils (and keeping them topped up) is very important, and will see different damping characteristics.
