Quote:Do I loose any performance without the shaft though? If I don’t loose any performace, I am probably going to keep it as rear wheel drive until I want four wheel drive again.Dude trust us, with R/C cars 4WD drifts 10,000 x better than RWD.
You could also buy a set of yokomo drift wheels and some spare rings, apparently they give better drifts than PVC, but PVC is very cheap and lasts longer.
Merc that just wastes brushes, you only need to do it for 30 seconds or so…
Quote:i remember another series on sbs years back that consisted of people re creating ancient feats of engineering with only the tools of the time, eg: making one of the stonehenge structures and they made a full size trebuchet too. fricken ingenious machine!!:p they sure can fling a rock hard!:dead::8ball:I remember that program quite well, they made a bridge atleast 100′ long over a river from grass!!
My sisters ex had a fantastic slingshot, took 3 people to operate, but was great for firing waterbombs/pinecones/other objects for huge distances!
What happened with tose ball bearing plasma cans I did for you?? Just curious…
??? StepFET????
Steering is very cheesy indeed……
Dual motor 02!! I’m thinking dual plasma dash’s!! 🙂
A guy i know made a goldball gun with PVC pipe 🙂
One of my dads friends made a potato gun and ‘tested’ it on his fence :), he didn’t try it again 😀
Quote:HAHA mrec bleu strikes again! 😉Hehehe, Merc, or should I say Mrec, can you spell ‘Dictionary’?
Go and buy one dude!!!!
Carbon Fibre is pretty easy to cut with a small saw…
I doubt any of those tyres would be very good on polished floors, they pick up dust and lose their traction.
Merc i thought graphite and carbon fibre were ona and the same material…….
Hey all I’m coming to Melbourne on the 7th of march for one measley day….pitty I can’t meet up with y’all…..perhaps next time….
Quote:GOT THEM 4 NORMAL Z’S ? 😯Why would you want so much weight on a racer??
I guess the closest thing you can get is an alloy motor mount and Front bulkhead…
It’s in the manual champ, place the pinion in the hole and push the motor shaft into it, it sets the correct depth.
Depends on a few things, getting the commutator trued will help lots (some LHS’s do it can help…but only if it’s a Plasma Dash/Atomic style armature…
Firstly, remove that “big black box”
Dude maybe you need help, I install and test FET mods for a reasonable price, have a think about it…
It is possible that you may have damaged the FETs in the install/run process.
-For soldering FET stacks, a fine tip is what you want.
-Dry joints are joints or soldered connections that actually are not connected, you generally can’t see a dry joint.
There is 3 ways I use to check the orientation of the FETs,
-The Indentation on the left hand side
-The orientation of the text
-The Beveled edgeQuote:its awesome jamie thanks a heap for the upgrades… i gotta find some more room for it now though!ive only ran 1 setof batteries through it so far… lost a tyre within 2 minutes, soft rubber compound tires just stretch to much and fly off! i might have to get a set of the foamys Aarons got to stop that:smiley2:
Hehe good to hear, you can glue those things on you know…:smiley2:
How are you liking the car Z??
I thought that there was no foreward FET, both FETS can reverse polarity, therfore giving you foreward and reverse.
It sounds like one of the signal pins (pins 2 & 4 on the FETs) are either not connected or have dry joints, either that or you damaged them somehow, static or too much heat.
I sent RcMart an email with lots of questions about ’em….
Will keep you informed when i get an email back…
They look about mini Z sized to me…
If that 2 speed is sctually a ratio shifting box, then I HAVE TO GET ONE!!!
