Yeah I was using the G-10 O-Plate with roll shocks and yes I got it from where bithed says. They have extremely good service and prompt delivery there. I’d definitely be shopping there again.

I was having left spin outs with it so I changed back to the stock plate during the race. With the O-plate in used, the spur side of the diff is slightly lower than the other side which is probably causing my spin outs. Time for a few washers I think…

I used to be addicted to Quake, Quake II etc.. it was the pinnacle of online multiplaying games. Spent countless hours playing it for 3 years straight, when I should have been studying…. now look where I am because of it. 😯

We’ll just have to see who can do the fastest do-nuts to the left.

O-plate won’t help you much, I had one and was still spinning out… but I’ve nearly got it sorted…

Dynamic meaning opposite to static – sorry dude, I spent most of past life reading computer reference books rather than novels.

LOL – the dog. I forgot about that one which car hit his paw ? What about all the potato chips on the track, and all the kids in the pit area that geo-z was demonstrating to – got to admit he’s good with kids.

Yes, I think a portable and dynamic track is a good call.

Would you be using foam mats or some low pile carpet, or simply just using the netball court surface ? Foam mats and carpet could become quite expensive… however with these you could choose other venues to have a race… and we could crack open those sticky atomic grooved tyres..

The track in the photo above doesn’t have any track barriers and looks very mini-z friendly.

Let us know what you have in mind… 🙂

Yeah that stuff is available from Clark Rubber. I think it was about $4 a metre but don’t quote me on it. If you can get it cheaper or for free then that would be great !

I’ll check out the local reverse garbage place to see if they have it as well.. I know they have foam strips (the blue stuff) which Clark Rubber sell for 50 cents each.

dgs, no probs with the batts. If young Timmy doesn’t turn up next fortnight, I’ll have another ten available for sale…

Tim, sounds like your car is in a mess.

You missed out on some good track racing. Seven cars in total doing some serious racing. Lots of nudging and the occasional barrier jumping. Lots of rolls as well… but nothing serious.

Everyone had a great time… It’s a good change from the collision drag racing that we normally do.

No photos or movies, we were waiting for you to turn up with the camera.

It’s probably best to just get a couple of pizzas afterall, you don’t want to spend your time cooking and cleaning the bbq afterwards… But hey that’s just my own opinion.

Petewah, why aren’t you coming ?

Just a thought, is it just limited to i-wavers or is it open to people that want to buy a kyosho mini-z at a wholesale price ? If it is, you’d reach $300 USD easily.

I think you can get standard trueno autoscales for around $22usd if they’re in stock. It’s only the initial-d version that’s a bit pricey.

Where do you get an mr01 for $70 usd ? I’ve been checking ebay and they’re still around the $85 usd mark.

Three days to go before we find out who is king of the track…

What time are you going to be there ?

Initial D Trueno shells are expensive. If you get one, it would be more like a collectors item.

Glad you’re moving to a toyota. Go the 4age engine.

Why is everyone heading toward the turbo path….

I had my first ride in a modified wrx on Sunday and couldn’t even feel when boost kicked in…

I was expecting to have the back of my head slam into the headrest but I was disappointed.

    I’m in this Sunday !!!

Timber barriers for the track are ready. 30 x 1 metre lengths plus various shorter lengths, a new roll of packing tape and some scissors. Anyone want to bring some paper plates ?

I’ll leave it up to you guys to decide on the track layout and will obviously need some help taping the timber down…

As for the crystals, I believe the dinball account on ebay has been cancelled. So it’s not looking too good.

I’m also running the stock plate but have roll shocks and rear friction damper/spring to stop the rear wheels hopping. They work well and probably reduce the chances of the stock plate from breaking. Also, the stock plate when flexed will return back to its original shape not like some after market cf h-plates that I have.

From reading the CF O plate doesn’t offer as much flex as the fibreglass one.

Dgs, lets see if talldude still wants it, if not I’ll give it a blast with the heat gun to see if it can be improved as you suggested.

Even if it can, I would still need to attend to the wide wheel rubbing against the body when turning problem.

    Cheers.
