It came froma Japanese site that has some pretty ‘out there’ mods.
Its all in Japanese, but Babelfish sorts out most of it.
Here is the link, take a look
:)uAI think it shows the three different settings for learner, intermediate and expert, and the settings for the ‘trainer’ wheels.
30 pounds will still be pricey once you convert and pay for postage. Let us know what it comes to.
:)uAI suppose the only way to get them is with the KITT racer sets that sell at places like K-mart or Toys R us. I dont know where you are from, but try the big deparment stores. The different KITT racers ahve the different gears and motors in them, and oe or two of the other parts can be used on the BCGs as well.
:)uAWell done RacerX, its tricky, especially those steering wires.
Tri cell cars are too heavy and just fall over all the time. A dual cell is a good one, give that a go first.
:)uAIt is connecting another motor onto the back of your bit and that should produce double the power at the rear wheels.
Im not sure how to do it with blu-tack tho :question:Here is a sample.

Pretty cool hey!
:)uAHe is either obsessed, or just a perfectionist.
:)uAI think that if they dont make it easy for you to buy then you have to ask the question, is it really worth the hassle?
:)uAPlus theres the problem of finding room for the extra cells.
:)uAThe ultimate micro scale off road track…..the doona 😀
:)uAYou need to change the whole circuit board RacerX.
It is a bunch of ‘matched’ circuits, they all need to go together.
:)uAThanks man,
I’m gonna go outside now and wait for the posty.
:DuAWell, Trash, dont just stand there looking at it, put it in the post. :smiley2:
Cant wait to get ridin’.:approve:
:)uAThis baby is on the way to microAmps’ house
Come to papa baby, :evil::smiley2::D

:)uA
P.S. There is one on Ebay too (in Germany), search for “Nikko I-rider”, it would cost about the same as Trash’s price by the time you get it here. Euro prices are usually a bit high, so I would expect the price of these to come down in a while. Although they are a new idea, so it might be a longish while
:)uAHeeeyyy, Matic finally makes an appearance.
Words of wisdom from the other side of the world.
Good to see you on Ausmicro Matic.
(Sorry, getting off topic here)
He’s right tho, the things on the bottom of the list will get you going REAL fast.
:)uAThe pics came from Nikkos website, and I *think* they are only in 27 and 40MHz, not 100% sure tho.
Gonna get me one of these and mod it so it rocks, now where did I put the extra big bag of mosfets 😯

Looks like Nikko make a Honda as well

I did a bit of searching, there is 4 of them, Honda CBR-XX, Repsol Honda, and the 2 Dukes

Cool. I do like the Duke 999 though, I think I might have to get me one of these.

They sound (and look) like they would be fun.
Love to get one modded, torquier motor, mosfet powered, multi cell (3.7v Li-Poly cell?)
Hehehe 👿 love the bikes:)uA
Sounds like an interesting idea, although I think its hard enough getting people together for a once off meeting in the first place.
A venue is probably the hardest part.
:)uAYes you can, but if you are going to solder the wires you need to be very quick, or you will melt the end cap.
For the wire onto the side of the motor, I have soldered onto the case before, at the side near the end of the motor where the shaft comes out so that you dont melt the cap.
Theres a pic on my website of a motor I swapped, it had a wired in 2.5(??) and the owner wanted a 4.2 put in. So the 4.2 had to be soldered and wired in. This was done on a muscle machines car.

:)uAGood one Efarel, I was going to suggest a reply from you.
We cater for everybody here it would seem.
:)uADo they actually run on 2 wheels, or do they have 2 extra wheels underneith as well.??
:)uAGenerally speaking I have found the Tomy cars are a better quality. I have clones that have loose steering linkages, average motors, weaker magnets in the steering, sloppy noisy gearing, plastic that cracks easily, heatsinks that dont fit very well, the list just goes on…..
BUT,
Some of the clones have, a faster motor, or a longer lasting battery, so people say they are better. It depends what you are looking for.
I find the Tomy cars are excellent to modify, but you do need to modify them to get them moving. (motors, tyres, cells, etc) With a little ‘tuning’ you can build a car that will run dead straight and damn fast.
Some people just want to charge and go fast straight away, and a clone with a fast motor will do that. Cost also make a big difference when buying these cars too.
For me its the Tomy cars (or MS) all the way, it really just depends on what you are looking for.
:)uA
P.S. I hear that the Bit Char-a are quite a reasonable clone too.Just an update on the Jaycar cars (toysworld cars)
they are out of stock of the 2 speed cars (in Victoria) and wont have any more for a few weeks. They have also taken the 2 speed demo cars out of display too so you cant play with them.
:)uAa li-po cell or 2, bit racer gears, (wings ?)
:)uAIf you hang around here long enough my friend you will learn lots and lots about all that stuff.
I think (hope) that a Melbourne meet gets up, theres a few Melb guys on this forum now just looking for an excuse to get together and do some fast laps. All we need is a venue.
