AKAIK, mobile phone use can cause ignition of fumes by the RF waves bouncing off multiple metallic objects (eg car, bowser, service station roof etc.) concentrating them and causing minor sparks. Same reason you dont put metallic objects in the midrowave.
Just what I’ve heard thats all.I love bugs 😀
I still miss my Sand Scorcher that I had when I was 11. (sigh)
Hehe.:)To hell with gearing, just plug the rear wheel straight on to the motor shaft.
Sorry, now I’m just being silly, midnight @ 31degC does that.Check the connections where the battery wires connect to the circuit board, make sure they arent touching each other.
1. Dont worry about the wax on the pcb, it wont cause shorts, it may give you some grief on the battery contacts if it gets on them, try and remove as much as possible.
2. You have a dead short in the battery circuit somewhere. Dont put batteries back in there until you sort out the problem. Are any parts getting warm when the batteries are running down so quickly?
:)uA
Think I might have to mosy along as well.
Some nice photoshop-ing there, very cute.

Yeah it will, 0.1C is a bit pedantic.
The cell rating is based on 1/20th C for 20 hours.
Thats .05C so even 0.1C is double the manufacturers rating for current output.
The more you pull out of a cell, the lower the actual mAh rating.Ph2t, part of the reason your cells are showing lower capacities is because you are dis/charging at 0.5C, whereas 0.1C each way will probably show more acurate results. Takes ages tho.
Try this instead…..
Very nice BK, where’d you buy it from?
Digi cams with a ‘fireworks’ setting no doubt.
LC sometimes its pot luck with these cars as to whether they use rx2 or 6, sometimes I think its just availability that determines what they use.

LC, the turbo function isnt independant of the F & R outputs. The F & R outputs turn on at 50% pulsed, unless turbo is turned on, then it goes to 100% on, the turbo signal isnt able to be seperated off and iused as a seperate signal as far as I know..
Mostly the pcbs in the cars have the chip under a (very resilient) blob of resin, making re-wiring near impossible.
The Lxx did have the Rx2 exposed and data on pinouts is available on the net.
The Rx6 has extra functions available to be accessed, but in both cases the Tx chip has to have the inputs turned on as well, of course.
Ph2t documented some of this info here…..Unfortunately the pics dont work anymore, but there are other links and info there that should be of help.
Goodluck.

:)uAThanks guys, a TB-02 it will be.
Damn Panda, 🙁 if you had only posted 12 hours earlier I probably would have found a home for that car.
Anyway, a deal has been done, now all I need is some practice.
Thanks for all your help and info guys, its appreciated. :D:DIts called the ‘Steve Bradbury effect’
Its gotta help ph2t, good idea.
These are surprisingly good value, and quality build too.
Betty, whats that you’ve got it set to on the display…..:smiley2:It was good having the track to ourselves (no right-minded person would be out there in 35 degree heat) but boy oh boy was it warm.
:)uANice Mat, very tidy ride, vid looks good too.
These cars are killer, and they’re BIG 1/5 and 1/6 scale.
I like the beetle in this size too. Here’s a vid.

I think there is an EP version of these too with 24 x 3300 cells.
Certainly not micro but fun.:D
:D:DuAAs you can see I am having serious trouble deciding which scale to get into next.

Cool, looks like a good package, nice pics and review too, thanks.
Did you mention an FG marder, can you post a couple of pics of that too (in the non mini section of course). I’ve had my eye on one of those for a while. I’d love to hear your thoughts on that one. Know of any reveiw sites?
Certainly not micro. -
