Sorry, the F1/F2 I refer to is function 1 and function 2 (as listed on the data sheet)

Just to clarify, he Rx6c chip has the following functions
    forward – unboosted
    forward – boosted
    backwards – unboosted
    backwards – boosted
    left
    right
    extra function 1
    extra function 2
Yes I suppose that extra function 1 and 2 could be used as extra forward speed functions if the circuitry was right. This is for 1st generation BCGs.

The super BCGs dont have the boost at all and the PT chip set is a real pain in the arse to mod too.
So no, forget about extra speeds on the current range of super BCGs. I am yet to see a circuit or data sheet for the ‘super’ circuits.

    Trash,
the early Tomy BCG cars were all based on the Rxc2 and Txc2 chipset combination. These had a booster function option, all of the early BCGs used the Rx2c chips including the early booster cars with the boost option enabled on the Rx pcb. But the xc2 chipset only has 4 functions. Later versions used the Rx6c/Tx6c chipset. All of the later version Tomy booster cars are using the Rx6c receiver pcb.
The R/Tx6c chipset has 6 functions, L/R/F/B/F1/F2, there are also Rx/Tx5, 7 and 9 chipsets with up to 9 seperate functions.
The tanks use a fully optioned Rx6c chipset that has all 6 functions operating, L/R/F/B/turretL/turretR.
The super BCGs are using a PT (Pericom Technologies) chipset with reversed logic, this is a pain and is the reason the supers ‘keep going’ when they go out of range instead of switching off.
If you do a net search for the Rx2c schematic I am sure you will find it. A 49MHz MS circuit diagram is also on the net somewhere.
The newer PT chipsets are not available on the net (afaik).

Do we really need to use this forum for anti U.S. political propaganda, theres enough sites around already with this kind of stuff.
I just wasted 946Kb of my download limit on that.
    Dont bother.

Yep I’d be into that, anything that helps this site at no cost to us is a good idea.

    Yes, absolutely.
Whether on a smooth surface cornering at high speeds, or on concrete with many tiny imperfections in the surface, the suspension can be tuned to make the car run better.

hey uA what u reckon the 2 speed im geting done will do with the King 4.2 and dual 200mah bats? i might put on some fast gears as well… would i break 15kph..? thats my goal

MB, if you can get your hands on some KIT racer gears, a stage 2 fet modded dual cell will easily break 15kmh. Mine has been up to just over 20.
With the slowest kit racer gears the car runs nicely at 15kmh, has good acceleration and still corners nicely on slow speed. You will also probably need 2 steering springs to keep control at high speed, but with fet steering and dual cell voltage it will be able to handle it easily.

Well it is originally a pommy car, so I thought if I am only going to get one of these minis, it may as well be a pommy colour as well. So i went for the BRG (British racing green). Looks good with the chrome too.

    I got mine today too.
Bloody hell Talldude, you’ve summed the mini up pretty well there. There’s nothing left for me to add….good reviewing.

One thing maybe, my steering spring is a bit soft, maybe I can stretch it and make the steering a little stiffer, thats the only other thing I can pick. I like them.

TinyRC sell some that are small, but not small enough to fit into a BCG. Theirs are for Zipzaps I think, (although I might be wrong on this one)
I think they can be cut down in size, although I might be wrong on this one too.
I ordered some recently but havent received them yet, will let you know the situation when I get them.

Lxx TypeR (boosters) are the same as the BCGs in that they dont go off boost until you let the button go.
The Enertec ‘turbo’ cars do go off boost on turns. Its a good idea for keeping control, but means no drifting at all.

    I’ve heard that somewhere before.
I think I said it to myself (cough), um, about 10 BCGs ago.
Oh well, at least its not an addiction thats detrimental to my health.

Gotta love the the bumper sticker. If I put a sticker that says “My other car is 1/64 this size” on my wifes car, people are going to wonder what she owns that is 1/64 the size of a Toyota Starlet.

The 4.2 wont suck, it will be quite fast, but accelleration is more ‘gradual’, it still winds up to good speed though. They are worth the money.
Sorry, cant help on the US sellers, I’m in Oz(tralia), and we cant really buy them here, so the net is the go.
Yes Lxx come with medium tyres.
and yes, ZZ gears do fit the Microsizers/BitChar-gs.

Ok, first off, we need a list of links that can be chosen from, once we have logged onto this site. The advertising banner at the top of the page is random, and if I want to go to ebay from here I cant necessarily use the link because it is not there.
It would be easier if we had links to take us to places that may credit Ausmicro financially.

Thats a noble way of doing things.
You’ve got my support, I will see what I can do about ebaying via Ausmicro.com. Thanks for letting us know this. I think everbody here would agree you guys are providing an excellent service, and why shouldnt the users chip in a bit, or at least change the way they do their net transactions to benefit this site.
    Good stuff,
