The guy on this site uses tomy bit motors in some of his planes. He has some tech information about the resistance of the bit motors and how he uses them. like this

Yeah NSR I have the same revell stuff and it works great. You have to work quick because the outside sets fairly quick. But I don’t think you got ripped off – I paid about $8 for my tube of it

OK Merc, I was speaking to a guy at work who contracts cleaners for Telstra payphones (nice plug) – and he said the cleaners use a citrus based solvent on the perspex sides. He also said Aeroguard took paint off without clouding a clear surface. For both methods use a very small amount and lots of elbow grease – and DaveF is spot on, try it on scraps first.

I am glad I live in Queensland – Don’t have to worry about the curtins fading with all the extra sunlight you get in the southern states.

I found that after a while the stock tyres got hard and split. I don’t mind because they are cheap to replace. Has anyone had this problem with the pullback tyres? They will be a bit harder to find new ones – I would have to buy a whole pullback again.

Are the pull back wheels any wider than the stock ones? They look a lot wider.

Yeah it’s easy to take off, once you jump in unaware and break it like I did.
If you slip a hobby knife down the side you can get enough of PCB cover seperated to take it off. You still have to be carefull of the tags at the back of the PCB cover.

What’s the difference between a BCG and a CCG?
Apart from the PCB cover being glued on the the CCG.

Dgs, a lot of people have told me to adjust the magnet – but it appears to me that the magnet is supposed to move??? Are you talking about how it is mounted in the bracket?

    Thanks all,
I did have a look at all the mentioned sites.
I have to say e-bay had the cheapest gear I could find ie. $40 Aus for a Xanavi Skyline.
The best I could find elsewhere was $60.

    Thanks Leonli17,
I ripped the steering assembley apart (after braking one of the clips on the PCB cover). I found one of the coils wasn’t glued in properly. A bit of glue and when I finally got it back together it ran sweet.
    Thanks again.
