Fair enough. Well if you ever want to discard it just email me at jkhorton@postoffice.utas.edu.au
With regards to your previous question about which countries it was released in Im fairly confident it was a global release because i have seen many pictures on foreign websites about the original char-G
Sorry, im not selling. It’s one of my favorite toys back when “I was a kid”.
Did the Char-G ever come out in other countries, because there has only been australian reply’s?
thats fully sick m8!!!
u qfm guys are awsome! 😀
It appears that everything but the MPH/KPH set comes with the 2.2 motor. I picked up the SLALOM set two nights ago so I could get four slicks for my WRX (and another 2.2 motor).
ok thanks aaron
there are definately no official TOMY F1 cars but i wouldnt mind seeing one in the future….
As for unnoficial cars I am sure that there would be some out there it is just a case of sniffing them out
sounds good look forward to hearing your results
Firstly If you are looking for a bit more acceleration I would not recommend using the bit racer gears at all…. i think that your best bet with the 2.2 motor is the orange gears, however my gavorite gear/motor combination would be the 2.6 with the top speed gears, it is a good trade off between acceleration , handling and top speed
Does anyone still have a working original char-G that they want to get rid of? I would be interested in buying it off them
hey Ross
What kind is the body ??
Id be willing to but it off you if you wanted to sell
Let me know !
I removed the chip from my new Supra. The range still the same, about 15-16 feets, but is acting weird. Some times it stop running or only run in reverse. I don’t know what is wrong. I have change the motor few times without any improvement.
If some body have any solution I will apreciate your help.
Eman, I too have the Red Evo, and i had the Capacitor under the circuit board. Its the only one on that side. I cut it and it gave me a good boost to my range. Hope this helps.
would be cool if they would sell a Need for speed Hot pursuit 2 Car-Edition
From Lamborghini to BMW to Ferrari… until Dodge or Aston……
I have a 35MHz Red EVO and there is a cap labled 22 on the bottom of my board connecting C4 and L3. I have not cut it yet, I am new to this and am not sure if this is the “crippling cap”. If I do cut it I will post results.
Resolution,…Conclusion it is safe to by with PAYPAL! I filed a complaint with them on TOYEAST, who would not email me back at the first sign of trouble I might add. But once I got PAY PAL involved they did the right thing. I am happy but saddened because I will never order from them again and they have lots a kool stuff. Just a thought its kinda funny how their email works now since paypal got into this thing ….see explaination at bottom as to why they IGNORED the issue. And they still did’nt say why they waited 6 days to ship on an item i paid on the spot. And who the heck would call Asia for a $17.90 item the phone call would would not be cost effective to say the least.

I have noticed some correlation between battery cover stickers. Check this out.
45 meg clear transmitter L01 sticker had ‘cap’ Blue Subaru
57 meg silver trans. L01 sticker had ‘cap’ Red RX-7
45 meg clear trans. B02 sticker had cap Nissan Gloria
57 meg clear trans. C02 sticker no ‘cap’ White Subaru (no.1)
57 meg clear trans. C02 sticker no ‘cap’ White Subaru (no.2)
35 meg clear trans. C02 sticker no ‘cap’ Red Lancer EVO
27 meg silver trans. G02 sticker no ‘cap’ Silver Celica
Capacitor labelling was either ’10’ or ’30’
Are these stickers production type labelsand if so could they be linked to ‘cap’ and non-‘cap’ transmitters?
Any thoughts appreciated.
Stevebhg,
U r a lifesaver. I have two 45meg transmitters. One for the Blue Subaru with an L01 sticker inside the battery cover. It had the ‘cripple cap’ on the component side of the circuit board. My other 45meg transmitter is for the Nissan Gloria. It has a B02 sticker on the battery cover andalso has a ‘cc’ but this one is on the other side. Both caps were labelled 10. I will be checking my other 5 Tomy cars and my 3 copies.
Cheers
I removed this from my bit and I now have a single foot of range with stutter.
I have also noticed the only mod to produce consistentimprovement in range is for transmitters with’cripple capacitors’ on the component side of the circuit board. Is this due to the number of production varibles of bits?
