That happened to my Ferrari too. I’m using my 4 chanel multicontrol with it. I think that give a better feeling than the standar control.
I have this same problem also.
Were you able to fix it?
Kmart sell char-g 🙂
Yup – Group buys.
Basically we have two price levels AUD210.00 for the ‘basic’ Mini-Z cars and AUD235.00 for the Mini-F1 and more ‘unique’ Mini-Z cars.
In those prices we cover all the hassle of importing the cars, including customs, currency transfer and shipping as well as make a standard 5% margin that goes back to paying the hosting bills for this site.
There’s a link off the homepage or you can click directly http://www.ausmicro.com/buyonline/mini-z_buy.asp
group buys????
woot!!
tis my understanding that because bits are slower it makes them easier to control even tho the i-racers have proportional steering and speed…
true?
We dont have Radio Shack over here but I’ll give Maplins a go…cheers for the advice.
at jaycar all it says about shipping to USA is: Oversease shipping (P.O.A) $0.00. what is P.O.A? and why does it say it doesnt cost anything?
Hello,
“those squares with black stuff comming cout” are small microswitches;
these parts are a completely standard, you can buy them from any
electronics shop and replace them. The same microswitches are used in
mouse buttons, so if you have an old mouse you can scavenge them from
there. The replacement is quite easy to do.
ok, cheers guys
What about Char-G’s are there any retailers in Aus ?
What are the main differences between DigiQ and Char-G ???
Thanks Again 🙂
Thanks eyris this IS helpful stuff, since a mate and mehave startmaking alloy wheels (and i haven’t recived my bit’s yet).
We almost have the wheels ready, but need to find some axles :smiley6:
i think my problem is abit more serious. its not the actual seethrough stuff thats broken, its those squares with black shaft buttons comming out. they seem to have no spring in them, or whatever makes them click. either that, or they are stuck
Hello,
I had the same problem butI believe I fixed it yesterday. Open the transmitter case to remove the plastic control buttons. Using a hobby knife or similar remove the molding flash from the edges of the control buttonsas they catch on the transmitter case causing the control buttons to stick. My transmitter seems fine to date.
Cheersit is not hard to do – give it a go. just be careful!
i have this problem too. it doesnt click, and a simple jiggle of the controler will set it off. dont know how to fix this problem tho.

Instead of trying to push in the black tabs (they’re part of the chassis), just get your finger under the front bumper andlift the body up and away from the tab.
Sorted! :smiley1:

There are race guidelines for drag racing at http://www.questformadness.com that breakdown different race classes. Click on the article on the main page to read or download it.
Use 2 washers for 2.56mm machine screws or any other appropriately sized washers. Go to radio shack or similar shop with a wide selection of washers.

Yes. There are certain RF laws in the UK that don’t allow anything over 40MHz (or something like that).
Yes. If you then wanted to use your OEM controller on the modified OEM bits, you’ll have to open the OEM controller and do a similar swap with the forward/back buttons. Someone has done this before and had pictures on how to do the swap, but I forget who (it was a while ago).
SkidMark made some good observations, I currently have a 4 DigiQ cars, 1-Digi Propo and 1 Digi Propo Special on order and should be to me by Aug 1st…Then shortly after my backorder on 2 Skyline GT-R Bit Char-G cars (2.2 motors) will be coming
My new website is now up and running, and when I get my ‘toys’ I’ll be putting my Digital Camera/Camcorder to work and will be posting pics/movies up for all to check out.
I intend to FULLY go through every detail of pro/con of both these babies and will share my findings.
there should be shipping info at the jaycar website.
