Aaron, thanks for putting up my order, but I would appreciate a cancellation on my order, because the motors that I was wanting(what I needed) seem to be out of stock…
Also, since I am now modifying the bit’s motor housing, I don’t even need the heatsinks

    thanks for the opportunity,

    ok
1/ analogue trims are hard to get rite s be very gentle with them and u will get it going straight as for the glitching pack out the servo pot. and it should stop

sorry i dont know what you mean by packing out the servo pot? i didnt recieve the mini z manual either 🙁
and as with the car not going straight i noticed one wheel feels like the camber is set at negative with a touch of toe in, or maybe just a worn plastic part.

2/ this has to do with the weight distrobution being behind the direction of acceleration or sumthing.. so nothing really special there. UNLESS your motor is in backwards and you have servo reversing on.. i havnt looked at many mini-z PCBs but the reverse may be current limited.. and if it is backward.. your foward is reverse and reverse is foward.. if u get wat im sayin

haha yes i know what ya mean :p but by looking at the perfex TX it doesnt show any servo reversing switches, maybe its the weight distribution but do you guys get the same effect? it also sounds louder in reverse i reakon.

3/ i also notice abit of free play in the steering linkages this is normal as well?

    and thanks merc blue 🙂

hey PH2T,I just read the entire thread and i think i finally understand what you’ve been talking about all this time. i would love to buy the v1.3, i’m in Canada, and was wondering how long it would take to get here? will you accept an email money transfer? much quicker for both of us ( my paypal is empty) i’m using an xmod. how much for two of em? is there a package deal or any kinda discount? does it include a motor?:smiley16:

TeamBonzer says “They are aiming at the plus $70 USD market per car – aimed at collectors mainly (bit like Konami) going for detail/scale etc.”

edit: oh wait, that is teambonzer

yeah, ill leave that armature for later, just in case i need it. i am gonna use a larger guage wire and try and get 40 winds on, but i dunno if that will fit on the tiny armatures i have. the wire is about 1.5-2x thicker than the stock wire on the armature. hopefully this will work better than my other attempts.

yeah i am, i thought i did that but it wont hurt to go back and check. thanx.
i have an extra armature from the spinbrush i took apart, so i may try winding with some bigger wire. how many turns should i put on it so that a stock xmod can handle it?

yeah… um, i just made a 2x 20 turn motor, spinbrush magnets. it runs, but it’s speed fluctuates and will either be really fast or really slow. the armeture also gets really hot to the touch. i am running it with 6v, just to test, but none of my other motors did that. anyone help/explain?

Thanks for the email, but i still have some questions.
You mentioned that 2x wires for each pole works better. Does 3x or 4x help more? I would have thought that weight would be an issue and the resistance lost by adding wires wouldn’t make up for the extra weight. also, does the lowered reistance decrease the current draw? what i mean is, if i have a motor that the xmod can’t handle, could i just 2x wind it and it would work?
I also don’t understand the concept of magnetic field containment, and why my drilled can would be detrimental to my magnets. The thing runs fine in my mini 4wd, so i guess i need to learn more.

yeah, im keeping the can in case, but the endbell is still cu to expose the comm. (just like the plama dash, so is that good enoght to ventilate the thing?
yeah thanx merc, any info is welcome, if you don’t wanna post it all, email to captainard2000@hotmail.com

    thanx for the replies.
yeah, now that ive done some research, i realize that i need to redo the entire job. when i did it, i had no clue about winding patterns or balancing or anything. So the answer is that i wound the wire however i felt like, so long as it was consistent from pole to pole. im gonna do some work on it after school this week, so ill trya nd fix that all.
you’re probably right, drilling the can is inefficient. ill put a nomal can back on it, althogh i would like to say it does make a fun little blower. i guess it puts out 2-5 cfpm:smiley2:.
    thanks again

Just a suggestion, maybe there should be some sort of hotlinking for the gallery, say if you have another image gallery on photobucket, and then just link from there

You got a customer here. I like the fact that you’ve made a “Micro Nelly” of sorts for bits. I’ll be getting of your Xmod nellys and I guess I’m gonna have to get this for a couple of my bits as well.

I think this has been discontinued(the fets for bitcharg’s)

Just found a great site to download Race-Tin info from. Their mod guides are GREAT! Full color, close-up step-by-step stuff.:D
