The small print says a 2 minute charge for a 5 minute joy ride. I suppose BCGs say a 45 sec charge for a 2 min run, and we all know they get 5-10 mins out of that charge.

PaintShop Pro.

Anctally, there’s some software called humbs Plus, which is meant to be for making thumbnails of photos for the web. I think with the right amount of playing with the settings you could set a maximum height, maximum width, and the desired resolution, then pump in a huge batch of images, numbers, and logos, and they would all be made to fit the size constraints. Print them out, and heep your favourites. Not sure if you can set print size, or you have to set width in pixels?

Sorry, that wasa stupid question – I did already know the answer.

There’s a Johnny Ligtenning tire pack available, though proably not from little toy stores, and possibly not in Aus. It’s in the US though, so probably on eBay. somewhere.

2 more booster sets, another 2 2.2 motors, another 3 3.0 motors, and 4 3.8s. 4 160mah batteries, some sweet bodies, light kits for each, finish renovating the house, go into production with the BCG racetracks, and bay off the bills. Maybe a new ride cymbal for my drums, and a top end MTbike. :approve:

I’ve found their extra wheels kit on the web. part 77777 about $4 US. I expect the wheel kit will be about $10 in Aus.

How hard were the JL wheels to fit onto the BCG axles? What was involved in getting them onto your BCG?

The organisation that monitors these things does have extremely powerful gear that can triangulate a signal, even a weak one. They don’t patrol the streets looking for them, but if there’s a complaint made, they investigavte, thus, don’t spout off to people who know frequencies (other RC enthusiasts in peson perhaps) about your illegal frequencies.

I am told that occasionally devices go bung and start transmitting at power levels far beyond their original design. Even devices meant to receive can stat transmitting with an electrical fault.

I have it on good authority (good mate works fr the frequency police – I forget the official title) that it is not impossible that these controllers could effect other receiving devices withint a block or two if they were to behave abnormally. He’s found a washing machine that ruined TV reception for 10 blocks due to a wiring fault.

Yeah. The solid core arial mod may cause grief when going under low bridges, but it’s have to be a very inflexible bit of wire. There’s always the option of bending it back at 45mm height anyway.

I tend to make my arial sit up straight and tall, bt that’s part asthetics, and part me playing with the wire while I wait for it to charge up.
