is’nt the shaft on an 02 diff longer than the ’01 one, dood??:D:smiley2::D
never believe all you read on Ebay… i learnt that way too, back in the day when i was new to this hobby. the chassis of ’02 is wider without wheels due to the coil-over suspension than the 01. Best to test with plastics wheels of differing sizes and then go from there. If you’re just house cruizing, you dont need alloy. Bling factor is nice, but you cant justify the cost of alloys as a stage 1 mod… especially if it’s not going outdoors yet. Add to that the whole narrow and wide body set-ups, and things get a tad confusing. So; what you need; any wide 01 (Supra, GTR race spec, AMG Merc., etc.)= wide rear no offset, narrow front, 2.5mm offset. All narrow bodies have narrow all round (8.5mm) no offset. Ones like WRX rally version have narrow all round with an extra 1mm of offset. Porsche (the PlusE), and a couple of others have narrow front and wide rear, all with no offset. This particular setup carries over to the 02 chassis, in most cases. (rear mount that is, not sure about high mount.) without wheels on, the ’02 chassis is wider at front than 01, hance all the offset business. Hope this long-winded description helps some…:D:smiley2:
i’m done for the year… having an off-road track in your backyard helps though…:approve:
Impreza; you get the SS loaded over seas, or have they hit our shores already? *fingers are crossed* gotta get the Mercedes!!!:D:smiley2:
only the motor, pinions and some bodies (wide with the blue chassis mr-02, narrow with the red chassis ’02), but everything else is model specific… even the wheels in most cases will not fit due to the front of the ’02 being wider than ’01… so offsets are different…
both the Kyosho and Square are awesome… Kyosho needs a titanium diff shaft though. Square was tight when new, but once worn in is even better than the Koysho…:approve:
when mine get here i’ll post them up/email you with them…
so turbos and stuff can be added too, eh? And I was going to have a go at it too…
Bit; you mean “fullback” or adjustable? (the hat, that is.):D:smiley2:like all the other irons I have in the fire, this one can wait till the new year… you gonna email to dood? Would’nt mind an update…:D:smiley2:
both actually…:approve: a couple of my non-r/c orientated friends are after one of the ASC clean versions as well as myself:D
Quote:…PanicToys.com will do CLEAN MADMAX ASC’s for 53 USD SHIPPED 🙂 DIRTY ASC’s are impossible unless you want to sell your lungs…Merry Xmas 🙂cheers for that mate…:D
mate our workshop is easily 40 degrees atm… too f**k’n hot. However, beer o’clock has just rolled around…:approve:
thanks mate… too hot here to think what small differences there are between the two… but between us we’ve pretty much covered it:approve:
WTF???? You know how to get my attention, dont you?:approve::D:smiley2: What’s a clean ASC Interceptor worth my friend:question:
still think Red Rooster is better tasting and better for you than both the chains mentioned earlier…
Monster was designed on the overland chassis, with a few changes to accommodate larger wheels, plus the mounting (shell to chassis) is different. Due to higher mount on Monster the front and rear shock towers are different. Shocks are the same (i have o.l. oil shocks on my Monster), any other differences allude me at the moment… Bithed; wanna lend a hand dood?:D:D
maybe that issue was with the earlier ones and have since been sorted before shipping out of their warehouse. Maybe. I’ll test my range again this weekend and see exactly how far it will go before the dreaded ‘mind of it’s own’ issue…
sweet… i’ll be off here soon for the day anyway
chrome or white dood? Legend either way… much appreciated:approve::D
the detail is incredible, eh? I did like the look of the clean version too, but a few details are incorrect,(the rear tanks were not present ’till the second movie, and by then it was’nt clean anymore…) and i’m a bit picky in that respect… might just get an Autoscale clean version to run…:D:D
uh, yes… lol 😀 btw, i only have 3 Monster wheels now… heavy landing last weekend cracked one in half. Had taken a big chip out a few weeks ago, and forgot to check it i guess. As a result, the thing is back up on bricks yet again:angry:

Now all you need to do is mount it on a chassis and test the super charger out.
😀
oh… Kev; it IS mounted on a chassis… it’s a readyset:smiley2::p
now i wanna get home from work and watch all 3 movies back to back… those pics were cool z-beam
Quote:yeah someone get one to test if they are alrite.iwaver build quailty aint that great man imagine the damage done to these things if you took it off road. hell if a kyosho monster isnt that strong (stock) imagine an iwaver with shitty plastics and such.
alloy is a must ill be guessing.
i can see i’m not needed here…:D:D
