Yeah merc’s right, offroad racing is basically divided into 3 groups, 2WD Stadium Trucks, Monster trucks and 1/8 4WD Buggies.
The cheapest option would probably be a Monster Truck, such as a Traxxas Revo, RTR it can be bought for under $700 AUD shipped, and it’s top level stuff.
Stadium Trucks are quite pricey for competitive stuff, and competitive 1/8’s are just bank balance busters…
I’m sure this thing is raceable, but as far as I know there isn’t a class to run them in…
yeah, basically a drag car with a little shed on the back, the bike rides in the shed thingy and has no wind resistance whatsoever.
90% of your energy goes into overcoming wind resistance on a bike…
Very Cool, just a suggestion: Them wings might not look cool, but they are put on these cars for a reason….makes em handle better and get more grip.

Sounds to me like you were unsuccessful with part of the FET mod…I could check it out for you if you want.
I’ve considered matching cells, but the dishcharge/charge cycles take FOREVER, the handy thing about my charger is that you can plug it into your PC, and it will plot graphs of battery performance throughout the cycle. then you can print them out and compare them!

I was going by what uA said, but just think about it, who would create half a dozen cars for people with no legs, just look at the pics, there is NO leg room. therefore I say it s a photochop!

Also, higher PWM frequency will increase torque by a lot.
I’m more interested in the high frequency PWM kit now, just want my ZZ to go good. 🙂
Steal one of Wills’ Novak Brushless motor/esc’s and run an 8 cell pack, that should keep up 😀
I had the same problem when I had a can muffler, now with the tuned pipe I have a shortened exhaust deflector, no mess anymore 😀
One of my rear hub bearings managed to ingest a piece of grass and spit a shield, with check local bearing supplier tomorrow and see if they stock my size.
I have heard many people saying that if you spray the whole vehicle with good ol’ WD40, and let it thoroughly dry, the dirt and grime will have a tough time sticking! Must try this!
Spurs, havent had problems since the engine shook itself loose and rips every tooth off :D.
Clutches…I’m on my 3rd one now! Stocker would overheat from just basic bashing and melt, 2nd was much better but curiosity killed the cat and I decided on a much better clutch.
I go through tyres too quickly for my liking, got some extra wheels coming for dedicated on road and off road tyres.
I have looked at those rotostarts, and wondered if they are worth it, I don’t mind yanking a cord, it only takes a few pulls…
Cleaning is easy, If you have a decent air compressor, takes just a few minutes to have it pretty clean.
If you don’t spill fuel while filling etc. you shouldn’t have too much trouble cleaning.
Most nitro problems are inflicted by the driver, just keep it reasonably clean, check bolts every now and then, use loctite threadlock on screws threaded into metal (such as chassis to engine mount, and engine mount to engine). Use CA glue to secure screws threaded into plastic, these rarely come loose though. Run the engine DRY after every session of running, if you don’t you may flood the engine (takes yonks to get cleared and started, also damaging to glow plugs). After a day of running, ’tis advisable to put a few drops of after run oil in the glow plug hole and carburettor and spin the engine a few times. This prevents rusting/corrosion which stuffs motors. WD40 works great for this!
The rest of the time, you will be replacing broken parts (if you are unlucky) worn out parts (tyres, clutches, spur gears, bearings).

Maybe a 2 litre like those ausse miniture race cars that they race as a support catagory with the V8’s
The vette looks like its carrying some real speed, I like corvette’s…What was the power plant of that 1:1 Camry remote control project

I did see somewhere where they had a REAL 1.1:1 scale BCG type R/C car, even came with display case, with charging stand, took like 200 D batteries or something and went 18km/h, cost something like 11,000 USD and had a diecast body.
