Nice one spanky. I’ve been waiting to see what the woody looked like. Just a quick question. How much is the rersin or liquid plastic in the US? For approx 1 pint 825ml I’ts ?34 here in the UK thats about 50 dollars for the alumilite natural colour. I just wondered if it would be cheaper to get it sent from the US? Oh ive started on my gloria pickup too. I’m at the putty stage but I’m off to a motorcycle rally for the weekend so no work till monday (too much vodka). catch u laters

others B2.2’s but standard.Hi kevsta I used a pair of mini wire cutters. I got the front wheel pin in the cutters and gently levered the pin out. It comes out real easy just hold the wheels so that you don’t bend anything. I gad to do it so i could put some rear wheels on the front of my mini cooper.

My cyclona bits cost me ?5 each, they had damaged boxes. Not quite as good quality as the tomy’s, apart from that they’re real good for the money. I’ll try to get more original bits and get rid of some of the clones eventually. I’m trying to get different shells now. I have enough bits for the moment. My wallet is a bit thin too after all the stuff I keep buying. I seem to spend all my time messing with them and typing on here. I have designed a track but can’t build it yet coz I have jobs around the house to do. My girlfriend would cut my nuts off if I built my track first. When I’ts done we have a good excuse for all the lads to come round on a saturday night for racing and beer “big cheer”:smiley2:jord :approve:

others B2.2’s but standard.I have the same postage cost problem being in England. They don’t have any good stuff here and it’s much more expensive than the US and Australia. So u end up buying from overseas which works out cheaper but would be better without the expensive postage cost.

others B2.2’s but standard.yeah Im up to 12 bits now.2 tomy and the rest clones most of them cyclona’s 2 shen’s and 3 panthers, only had one duff one so far and the range is much better than my tomy’s. Infact i got 2 new clones today but i really only got them for the shells (pickup and a 4×4) never seen them before.

His name was kato and his machine was turned off too.I was watching the racing with a tear in my eye as the other riders had his No.74 on their bikes in memory. I hope they do something like that for possum. He was a well known and respected rally driver.

others B2.2’s but standard.That is a masterpiece Cabo. It looks brilliant. I have got a spare Bb body and was planning a pickup project. I fancy extending the front, back and sides so they are lower to the ground.
I have tried to put my pics in my threads like yours to save people going somewhere else to look at em, so how did you do it. I thought I had sorted it but my pics don’t show up. I have some space at webshots so hosting is sorted I just need to find out exactly where I am going wrong.

Unfortunately nothing is compatible with a tomy bit. The car is the same trackmaster, slow to start but quite fast top end. It’s also real smooth running. I still prefer the bits though.

Spanky, unfortunately they dont have the same size fitting but I’m sure if you got hold of a shell you could make one. I’ve been looking at your mould project at tinyrc I’m real interested in making my own too. When you get a tutorial up with all costs and stuff maybe you can let me know. I will be a regular poster here. I have a new mini cooper shell which fits a bit and I want to make a copy of for my mate. Also I want to make a vw camper shell for him and one for myself and a proper beetle shell!(not the new one). Did tou see my pics of the bmw shell? It’s quite detailed so a copy in resin would be good and the inside could be adapted for a bit real easy just cut the proper size slots in. I’ve just got to find a place in england that sells the silicone and the resin. The mould seems straight forward to make. Theres a model store close to me but I don’t know if they stock that sort of stuff. Just one question? Would silicone sealant (that is for used for sealing cracks) be any good for the mould? My mate makes and fits plastic window frames so I can get loads of that sort of silicone for free. anyway I’ve typed far too much catch u laterz

They’re real nice even though i don’t really like ferrarri. Nice detail round the back lights. I must say nice badges too.

Do the different tyre compounds make a difference??? 1 big question, how did you embedd that picture into your post. I would love to know how. I have a couple of albums at webshots and i know how to put the url in for it, but i can’t put a picture in a thread and you can. HOW?

others B2.2’s but standard.The half speed thing would explain it. I did put a shen motor in the bit and it flew, and flew even faster with the booster button pressed. The original Bit 2.2 motor is not that fast in another car which is a bit weird. Maybe it will loosen up as it gets used. I will try the light oiling and a bigger battery to increase running time.. its made from a 3.5 inch disc and some filler. It’s in it’s early stages at the moment and it’s heavy but with a 4 cell conversion and maybe 2x 3.8’s it will move along LOLjord :approve:

If i put the motor in another bit will it be fast? I am going to try it now.
OK tried it in my shen and it was faster than it was in the booster car but not as fast as the shen motor. Never mind ok as a spare.

Thanks micro Amps, yes it does help. I take it that you just unsolder the exiting antenna and re-solder the cat5 or piano wire in the same place?

OK i think we should wrap this one up now I soldered the wire back on and the steering works again but the car still only goes backwards so it is going to the bit graveyard in my bitbox.

hi all sorry for butting in but i am at the moment planning a track and just wondered what the best stuff is to build it from. I thought of mixing fine sand with blackboard paint to make a grippy surface (start/finish) for good traction on the pull off. I also thought about some sand coloured carpet which could be good as a sand trap as bits don’t run as fast on it. what do you think?
I would like to see the skeleton of the track so get some pictures posted please.
