They didn’t have the stock for my order – so I waited 3 weeks for nothing. :dead: :dead: :dead:
Anyone ordering from these guys should triple check that they’ve got what you want – BEFORE you give them any money.
Yeah that’s good. Will the V2s have a new range of bodies?
Yeah the one in the picture does looks a bit too big. I tried a Kyosho internal and it was pretty good for around the house – but crappy for big areas like carparks.
And those ‘ball’ antennas… well they suck.
I think I’ll skip the water dipping – but I’ll run my new xspeed at half voltage like that site says.
Opera 7.23
Everything works good.
Is that the show with “Merlin” in it?
I can’t believe someone got away with calling their kid that.
Owch. Thanks for the link kevsta. I wish I’d read that before I placed my order.
I ordered some stuff from them about 2 weeks ago. I’ve sent them 3 emails and still haven’t got a reply (except for the initial automated invoice things).
Aaron – how long did you have to wait for your order to arrive?
I start to worry after 2 weeks…I need my frikn h-plates! :dead:
They stuffed up my order too.
They charged my credit card, then told me they didn’t have stock (twice! even after I changed my order to suit them). They were eventually pretty cool about cancelling my order and giving me a refund though. But they took a bit of convincing that I didn’t want a store credit.
Thanks.
Yeah it’s AWD.Sorta thinking I’ll take it back to 2 wheel drive so I can turn corners again. Would be good to know if it’s an important part :p
dgs73, 35cm? I must have put mine back together wrong cause it needs about a metre to turn.
I totally ripped apart the xmod yesterday (just to see what was going on) – installed the bearings and the steering/suspension ‘upgrade’. I think I have more fun taking it apart than driving it.
I didn’t pay much attention to the turning circle before I put in the 4wd – but it’s HUGE now. Is this normal?
I’ve put the Kyosho back in it’s box while I exorcise my “let’s see how it works” demons 👿

Xmod: Acura RSX w/ body kit
Mini-Z: G’ZOX Honda NSX with that insane chrome finishI’ve ordered a Cerumo Supra for the Z, which will only go on once I’m off my L plates.
The steering on the Xmod seems ok once you drive it around for a while – and forget what the Z is like :p
If the Corvette won’t fit the stock RM, there’s a certain combo of wheels, engine mounts and h plates that should do it. I think the MMs can be converted so that most bodies will fit too (MR015 conversion?).
Whoohoo!

The TT-01 package deal, with the Tamiya Mugen Integra Type R body (which I desperately want!), and an extra Tamiya Calsonic Skyline body (for bashing), is $371 AUD delivered.
I’m getting it!
My CC got swallowed by an ATM yesterday… what timing :dead::dead::dead:
Hadn’t thought of that.
1 x Iwaver light kit added to my shopping list 🙂Edited by – Kerosene on 12 April 2004 15:51:39
Few more questions before I hit the ‘buy now’ button:
How can I tell what MR-01 bodies are ‘wide body’?
Will the ‘normal’ mini-z wheels at Dinball fit an MR-02? Wouldn’t mind getting some black wheels.
Anyone know if the GPM diffs are ok? They’re $14USD compared to $30USD for the Kyosho diff.
What’s a decent light kit to get? Or should I think about making my own? GPM kits are $13, the Kyosho ones are up around $30 ! owch.
Here’s my shopping list so far:
MR-02 RM NSX $109USD
Kyosho carbon H plate set $12
GPM Alloy ball diff $14
Dinball bearings $7
X-Speed $10Edited by – Kerosene on 12 April 2004 14:48:35
Turns out the Integra XB is about $310 shipped.
:dead:I just spotted this TT-01 kit for $199USD (not incl post)
http://www.etamiya.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=2340– One set un-assembled 1/10 scale TT-01 electric car
– One modified motor ( Team Orion Havok ball bearing motor 23T )
– One APEX Electronic Speed Controller ( w/ Reverse )
– One set FUTABA AM Radio Control with 1 x S3003 Servo
– One set stainless steel Full Ball BearingsLimited choice of bodies though.
Would I be better off getting this? Or paying a bit more for a normal XB (with the Integra shell I want) and some hop ups that I get to select myself?
I have too many decisions to make :question::question:
I’ve found an XB that I like (the Integra).
http://www.tamiya.com/english/products/57715_16mugen/index.htmCheapest I could find was apx $290 AUD incl shipping – not including battery or charger. Is this an ok price? I’ve seen XBs for less, but not the Integra.
I was hoping to do this for under $250, but the TT-01 has way more hop ups and support.
I’m going to try an X-Speed until I’m ready to get the FETs done.
So much reading about Zs… dizzy
I think the MR-02 RMs will take most MR-01 bodies (from what I’ve read), as long as the front wheels don’t get in the way.
I think the MR-01 NSXs and Vipers (?) will fit on the RM MR-02s – but I’m pretty sure that’s all.
I don’t think any of the MR-01 bodies will fit on the MM MR-02s. Can’t find much info on any of it.
I think I’ll leave the FETs until I can drive well enough.
Anyone know about GPM diffs? They’re less than 1/2 the price of the Kyosho ones.
I’ve read that the Enzos handle much better than the RM cars (like the NSX), but I really don’t like the look of them. I’m not really into elegant driving anyway , so hopefully it won’t matter too much.
Tempted to get a MR-01 instead, just for the better range of bodies. But that’s just stupid. Isn’t it?I think they’re pretty much the same as the old LXX scale racers that ToyEast used to sell.
I went back today and picked up one of the new Aerobird Xtreme planes for a bargain price. Can’t wait to smack it into a tree 👿
