Yepz. My lipo buzzer arrived today and it’s all working nicely on a 2 cell pack.
And still running well with an old Graupner Speed 300 brushed motor … haha 😀Well.. I got mine a couple of days ago…
And it’s already brought 4 x Energizer 2500mah NiMH AAs back from beyond the grave.
It did take over 30 hours though 🙂It’s an awesome nerdy charger.
I just ordered a MH-C9000 🙂
The only really negative review I could find was on Amazon:
You must be some BATTERY MEGA-DORK to actually enjoy this…
If when you were little when asked “who do you want to be when you grow up?”, and you answered “I’d like to charge batteries”, then this charger is for you.I wish I could get a tshirt that says BATTERY MEGA-DORK 😀

@ whtang – Have you got a mailing list or something where you can notify people of upcoming track days?

I might have to time my visits to Melbourne to coincide with your track days. That’s a fantastic looking setup. 😀
Aha! Yeah, that’s what it will be for.
Peugeot 402 Andreau for the MR-02
:p But I’ve got a feeling I’m on my own with this one :p
I’m buying one as soon as the prices stop being so ridiculous.
I’ve been itching to build an indoor micro track, and these look like the perfect scale.
Any idea how much they’re going to be?
There’s some more info a few more pics here
Nice one Cavo. I’ve seen a few DIY vacuum formers at instructables.com that I’ve wanted to try out. But your method looks far more appropriate for those of us who have a 10 min attention span 🙂
Nitro is for old geezers who don’t understand electricity 😀
Go for a “medium mini” brushless basher with lipos!
Nah, lots of people do the same thing.
Thanks guys 🙂
My old aerial camera was only 2mpx, which kinda limited what I could photograph – so I eventually lost any inspiration to go flying. But the new cam has lit the fire again! 👿
I’m getting some new batteries in the next week or so, and am about to fit some blinky LEDs for dawn and dusk flying, so I’ll be hitting ‘dot in the sky’ altitudes again pretty soon. A friend of mine has exactly the same setup as me, so hopefully we’ll get some photos/movies of our planes in action.diehard wrote:man that is so cool.where bouts in vic do u fly???
Up near Castlemaine. Or at Royal Park when I’m in the big city.diehard wrote:hey Kerosene where are you standing in the 1st pic?
klims wrote:thats insane! got any more shots? how high up is that?
you musn’t like you camera much…
I’ve only had this camera for a few days, will slowly be adding pics to flickr as I take them. Not sure how high it is, a friend of mine makes a neat little altimeter – I’ll have to get one eventually, I’m terrible at judging distances so I’ve really got no idea. My batteries are dying so I’m not flying as high as I used to.merc-blue wrote:kero do you ever go out to PP to fly? i have meaning to get out there recently but am to busy
What’s PP?this body wouldn’t happen to be a RM would it ????
The 360GTC Scuderia Ecosse is an RM, so I reckon yours would be to.

Dremel time 😀
although some bodies need that lay down crystal adaptor to fit.
And some don’t even fit after that!
I’ve got a Corvette C5-R on my MA-010, and it does fit – but it hits the front corner of the battery housing/top cover thing (even with crystal mod). The body sits up at the front about 1-2mm – not perfect, but it’s good enough. If you’re talking about an MA-010, exactly the same thing happened to me.
I used Araldite and cf, then bent the battery terminals back about 1 mm. No probs since.
We’ve got eagles up here – I’d better keep an eye on my Mini-T 😀
A friend of mine flys planes in a suburban park where there’s heaps of birds (I’ve always refused to fly there because of this)… about a month ago the inevitable happened and a magpie swooped the plane and got caught in the prop.
Pretty uncool stuff when it comes to planes and bird collisions :dissapprove:
Anyone who hits a bird deserves to get their plane trashed.I’ve bought from TE about 20 times in the last few years. They’re English isn’t great, and they can sometimes take a while to reply to emails – but overall they’re pretty good.
pcb is good for a 2s lipo supply
I’ve just bought a couple of 2 cell lipos for my planes.
ph2t – Any idea what the esc’s cutoff is? I don’t wanna trash my new batteries.i’ve just blown $140 bucks and i have nothing to show for it!!!!
You’ve got it all wrong. 😀 By the time your eBay parcel arrives, the money is long forgotten and it should feel like you’re getting something for free.
Mine was about $140 AUD shipped from the USA.
Well worth it :smiley14:I haven’t broken the steering linkage things yet, and I’ve had some pretty bad stacks. I’ll just make my own when/if they break.
There’s even some third party body styles coming out now too…
Pity they all kinda suck. You put the main PiccoZ blade on the tail of the Airlark?
Let us know how many flights you get out of it before the motor dies 😀flies well but i’m having some trouble with the forward direction.
Yeah the forwards/backwards is pretty pathetic. Apparently if you cut the ring off the tail rotor it spins a bit faster, and pitches the heli forwards more. I added some weight to the nose (plastic rod and a blob of blutack) which helped.
