The wall charger is crap and trashes the battery after a while. I cut the micro plug off the Airlark wall charger and use my Swallow charger instead. I’m pretty sure the battery is a 370mah, 1 cell lipo.
Also, I think the cutoff isn’t very reliable, so I always stop flying soon after I notice any drop in power.
You’ll easily get $35.99 worth of fun from it. 😀
how much fly time had you had when you made that?
Video is of the first flight – can’t you tell? 😀
You can get PiccoZ tail rotors on ebay I think.
Looks like a clone, but they’re probably all out of the same factory anyway.
I ended up getting a SilverLit PiccoZ and an Airlark, both are good. The Airlark is about twice the size (and half the price), and is way nicer to fly.
Airlark videoIf it’s new old stock, you might want to check that the battery in the car hasn’t leaked.
i cant see the appea of 2channel choppers
The price 😀
how much was it shipped if you dont mind me asking?
About $140 AUD.
when you bust a tie rod make new ones outta zip ties
Yep I’m just waiting for the original ones to break. They’re really really flimsy.
I’m expecting a parcel in the next few days :smiley14:

There’s a LiPo Micro-T on youtube.Try rc plane shops. Dunno about ‘sheets’, but Rojs Hobbies in Fairfield has ‘strips’ about 10-20mm wide. I’ve used them to fix my MA-010 chassis.
About time too! This is the kind of micro I’ve been waiting for.
Even with the non propo steering they’re kinda cool, but it’s the crappy body that they’re worth buying for. The plastic is coloured (not painted), so they’re good for bashing. And they look pretty cute too – the Micra does anyway… Fits on a Z with very minor mods.
I don’t have a PSP so I haven’t tried it, but there’s a 2.71 downgrader here.
Anyone into homebrew/emus should have a look at the GP2X . It can’t compete with the PSP in terms of ‘modern games’ – but it runs Linux, so there’s no probs with homebrew, and there’s a crap load of emus for it. Takes plain old SD cards and has built in TV out which is pretty neat.
I got one for a little over $300 (shipped from HK) including a 2GB card.
—But I still might have to get a PSP one day.
Me too too … maybe it’s time for a bit resurgence.
If you can pick up a cheap iWaver then go for it. They’re pretty good value as long as you don’t get a dud. But as Betty said, if you can afford it then get a Kyosho – they’re a million times better (especially the TX). BUT I’ve never used an IW02, only the older ones.
As for MR-02 vs MA-010, you should see if you can try them yourself. I much prefer the MR-02 for cheap thrills, but the MA-010 is a much more stable and manageable car for racing.
blabla :p
I really like the AWD for it’s predictability and stickyness – but for ‘seat of the pants’ racing, it’s 100% MR-02. And that’s where my vote went, unless I accidently voted twice :p
Yep that Martini is tuff stuff.
Pity they’re narrow – still pretty tempting. I tried an old iwaver Porsche GT3 on my AWD, which looked like it would handle beautifully – but it kept flipping over.
Looks good on the video – good enough for $50 anyway.
I like the Whelan the Wrecker sign 😀
Hey Betty – where did you buy this? I’ve been looking for a cheap indoor flying thing. Looks good with the guts exposed 😀
Any chance you can post a video?
My chassis cracked a while ago and got so bad that the batteries were losing contact – I glued it back together but it just cracked in another place. This has probably got something to do with the way I drive 😀
I’ve glued a cf plate inside the battery compartment and also underneath the car, and bent the spring plate things back a bit so the batteries don’t put so much pressure on the chassis. Seems to be working.
The Wattage Microflyer is available in Australia – around $60 I think. The few people I know who have flown them all reckon they’re pretty good fun.
I haven’t seen them anywhere.. they look pretty fun for the price.
I’m still trying to find a reason to get a Butterfly… only USD $240 :big:
 :smiley4:
Hey Pete, I sent you a PM
Lets see some video!
