there will never be nitro Xmods to small to hard,
these are bassed heavly on a mini inferno (great for parts :D),
i have been waiting for a few more to come out on the market before i get one but i will be deffently getting on when they do come out mostlikely the schumacher as RWD mean more sick wheelies and more fun, not as easy to drive but 100 times funner,
all the 1:16 buggys are a expansion on the H8, RD lgic are doiung a conversion kit kyosho doing a official one and guys like smartech and acme and a few others doing clones, ive seen some on ebay in aussie and USA..
these are somthing that i have been watching closely,
problem on them is shipping i was gonna get docked 80usd to ship a acme one from rcmart, possibly could we use the buying power of ausmicro on one of there next orders from there supplyer to possibly bring a few in, cause im deffently very keen

Guys this i great new. and Ladas arent bad cars
we rally 2 hyndai Excels (sponsored by hyundai) and the do arite. (although modifacation restrictions stop them geing fast)
do you know if they need help? im studying motorsport At the moment and would glady donate my time to go down and give them a hand working on the car, or just service points, i assume they have a full team already though

as for a brock polariser you dont have one do you willy? for a very short while they came out in a few holdens and are worth a mint

possibly, i will probly opt for a Li-ion setup thought that way i can use the standard battery mounts 4 cell li-ion would be mighty interesting, ofcouse i would need to solder up the packs cause the sping connectors would fry, problem with BL motors is you need to do lots of calculations to see what they will take, i will probly see if i can get a 2 cell li-po setup happening but just need to work out a mount system

as promised here are some pics,
ATM she is just waiting on the RX to go on and were ready to rock.

ESC and RX, I swapped over to a larger RX becasue i realised i had no spare micro Xtals

    Servo driver installed

    ESC and servo driver in

    rwlap2.jpg

and heres a idea on how big the RX is and were it will be mounted after i get some shrink wrap on it, if i had of used a micro RX i could have probly just squeezed it in the origional electronics hole, but i couldnt justify the cost of a whole new Xtal pair (specialy micro Xtals)

how high is it in the back? mostly the problem is clearing the motor the middle part is no problem as 89% of it is all inside the original chassis
i might have to come out to visit some time, to borrow a pinion puller (you had one right?) and put the old girl on a speed tester, pics tomorrow it seems due to stupid camera drivers

im thinking i want the PN one, but dont wanna fork out for one without a close look, oh well i will dremel the crap outta a stnd and use cable ties for now,

The Iwaver arrived today and i stripeed it out, it became apparent pretty darn quickly that i wasnt going to get the servo in there, so i got a old std size servo that stripped its gears and put in the servo driver, works well but will get a smaller servo driver before its finished. the motor is not likly to fit under the GT40 body so am now looking for sumthing like a Mini cooper or VW if some one wants to offer me a spare cheap (condition not important)
pictures of all the bits and servo driver in should be up late tonight

so far my setup has cost.
120 bux + RX and TX (another 200 for a good computer 6 chan radio ,needed for my helis)
that included everything including 2x 3s550mAh lipos

next stage is for a little medusa BL that should give me Aprox. 13 ounce thrust and the model weights about 5.5ounces RTF.
will have power to weight like a shockie 😀

kero we should organise to go flying sometime i got a mate with a zippy little wing pusher who is keen to join in

    leon is bassicaly right,
4WD you have a transfer case which just puts the power into teh rear diff in AWD you have a multi clutch plate thing in the moddle which is the cross between a slipper and a LSD which puts power down at the rear when the front slips and vice versa while a 4wd will just keep putting out equalpower to all the axles

as for digital steering servos, you lose accuracy (it seems lika gain though) but increase processing speed i dont think mini-zs will benefit from digital processing,
although a full electronics overhaul would be nice go full PCM or HRS and get some of the nice features although the problem is the adverage user would be up the creek witout a paddle when it come time to setting independant servo return expos and speeds (dont laugh my old KO had it, along with a 140 page manual)

possibly a better steering system, i dont see why they dont go with ball cup joins like all oter RCs they are so versatile and can have little/no slop,
not the standard stlye clipon but screw throughts on mounted ball (will solve problems with the cups popping off)

they use the term AWD very loosly its acctually 4WD to be picky,
i doubt we will ever see RWD dissapear, but it may become less popular
