ph2t, they DO come in a single switch.
Check your RS-Components catalogue,
part No. 204-7865, or even 352-4818
they look neat too.
Nice mod though, I like the idea of being able to switch off a car when its not being used, stops it running when I’m using another car on the same freq and stops the battery running down low too.:)uA
I get the feeling that after this, the 03 hosting bill is going to be even bigger.
:)uALeonLi17 I have seen them for sale at both the Melbourne city store and the Frankston store.

They come both ways, the single speed cars come in a plastic sealed pack, like the HSV cars. The two speed cars come in a box.
They are the same price too, $29 or $34 I cant quite remember though. They are dual cell, but use 2 1/4AAA cells, NiMhs. The dimensions are smaller than BCGs, more the size and scale of a Keyence MadTune. Wheels are tiny, have rubber tyres, and the rear axel is captive. They are not using the same signals as a BCG or ZipZap, but it is tha same as an Enertec car. They use the PT chipset for those who are technically minded.
This means it runs the same as a BCG, 2 speeds forward and reverse, and the steering is the same as a BCG. The controller on the 2 speed version is a bit strange, it feels like it will break when you twist it, which is what you have to do to drive the car. They go reasonably fast and need more than a table top to get to full speed.
They are a bit of fun, but dont compare to BCGs for controllability and theres no hop-ups for them.
:)uAUse the ceramic grease tamiya make for plastic gears, it works very well.
:)uAVery inventive Jamie,
and without an ‘edit’ either
:)uAI want a BCG Trabant (not)
:)uAQuote:Before the race the safetycar will check the circuit just like the F1Yes. Of course it must.

:)uAYes Panda, a small parcel to HK, thought I’d try EMS because they have been so good delivering to me in the past. AU$40. So I ended up sending it standard air mail for $7 and it got there in 5 days.
:)uABring back the Bart_85 campaign, hell yeh.

:)uATalldude the charging time is controlled by the size of the capacitor, not the voltage. If you changed a 100uF for a 100uf and the charge time increased, then its because the two capacitors were slightly different. To extend the charge time further, try the next bigger capacitor, maybe 150uf or whatever the next size is.
:)uF…..um i mean uA.I have to agree with ph2t, I was running a car outside on reasonably smooth concrete, but the front end was jumping around from all the little deviations in the concrete surface. With the springs in the front end, the car runs dead straight and the spring absorb the rough spots perfectly. I got mine from ph2t, the DDS tape springs.
:)uAGood stuff Quintezz, how about posting a pic in this forum.
:)uASo what power supply are you using to run it?
Is the DC-DC converter able to power it?
