Ahh, bloody hell, yes of course.
How silly of me to even think for a minute that you would actually improve the condition of a shell. :smiley2: I dont know what I was thinking.
Well done on the comp win too B.K., you deserve it.

Sweet, in the shop for a makeover.
But what happened to the front skidplate?, it looked good and probably has practical purpose as well.

The OEM bit charger should be fine, most of the circuitry is the same, should work ok.
A stand alone charger is as easy as 2 x AA cell holder and a charging base, dont let it charge for more than 2 minutes, you will have to charge it yourslef.
The 80 and 120mAH cells will handle the same as the 200mAH cell, but may charge a tiny bit slower.

ANY heat in a NiCd or NiMh cell is causing damage, and premature end to the life span of the cell.
The best way to charge them is 1/10 C for 11 hours, but who can be bothered waiting that long.

A standared charge from the 2 AAs in the controller puts 5mAh into the cell. Theoretically you could charge 40 times, but even then it wouldnt be full.
They usually work quite well after 4 or 5 charges, or to fill it properly a delta peak charger is the go.
When a battery is charged at a constant current (NiCd or NiMh)as it charges the voltage accross the cell needs to be increased to maintain the charge current.
At the point where the required voltage starts to reduce is when the battery is full.(delta peak voltage has been reached) It is not necessarily warm, that depends on the charging current.

You probably havent, hopefully when they blew they didnt short internally to the gates.
There are a few other TO-220 fets around the 50-80amp range that should handle the current.
Try some of the Mini4WD motors too, but at that resistance you will need to use a heatsink on the fets.

No need top go into the “propo / not propo” discussion again, its been done to death.
Each has their own pros and cons, enjoy them the way they are.

Does it actually say they are 2000mAH? I couldnt find it.
    Seems odd, but interesting.
Must be some kind of pulse charger.
I’d be interested to find out more, not to mention a little sceptical.

Power output would be VERY low. Extremely low electron transfer on a water fuel cell.
It does need some source of power to split the water.
    Bait me, yeah right.
    Damn, got me again.

Also, Jaycar sell a vry basic solar / water powered fuel cell too.

If it hasnt, then you arent using it correctly.

So I gather the only time it has ever been in the house is when it first came out of the box.
I can just see it now at your place, by the back door, three sets of boots, and the mad force.

That Eagletree unit downloads to a pc too, amazing.
I have seen the Venom units in practice, tiny little things that record max speed. Good idea if you dont have a radar, but then you have to stop the car and look at the reading.

uA, what frequencies do they come in… will have to design a little 10db amp for the purpose of an extra 100m or so 🙂

    Sorry Trash, I missed this….
    They come in all of the ususal freqs, 27, 35, 40, 45, 49, 57Mhz.
I have heard of people using cheap walkie talkies as a carrier transmitter, and running the output of the Txc chip onto that wave.
No range problems after that at all. Little BCG literally drives out of sight.

    Yeah, pretty much.
I spent a while on it a few months ago with no result. Things might be different now with the extra stuff I’ve learnt, but there’s still the problem of the cars ‘running on’ when they go out of range, and that was enough to turn me off them.
    :sad:uA
