Trash, that’s right in a way – and you’ll still be able to link the Thumbnails from the gallery section but the whole images from the gallery section will possibly be no longer linkable.

Also with the larger sizes of Avatars we’re talking about the ‘new’ thumbnail size will not be quite right.

I’m finding a significant amount of bandwidth going out of the server for pics that aren’t being shown on ausmicro.com, just hosted here.

You have a couple of limits….

    50kb File size

    64×64 Pixels

    GIF or JPG only

In the near future larger Avatar sizes will be enabled.

I’d have to be pretty destitute before I sold up to anyone.

ausmicro.com is ‘close’ to reaching a critical mass of active users where the site/forums will motor along and grow at a steady rate without needing constant attention. The moderators are good people who let us have a community without much interference and so forth.

Overall if it wasn’t for the bills rolling in each month it’d be cool, and generally I think upcoming incentives and ideas will assure the sites future for some years, well as long as you guys want it!

No cable in the ACT unless you go TransACT (http://www.transact.com.au)

I’m in an apartment block of about 150 units, some guys have ADSL, others don’t… Gotta get off the RIM and then the fun starts 😉

*laughs* we did three trips of a three tonne truck. Sitting here surrounded by boxes and furniture and finally online. We’ve been cut back to dial-up only thanks to a RIM (Telstra is in the sh!t in this household) so a lot of things I’ve been wanting to do with ausmicro will be happenin a lot slower as development times will suffer thanks to upload/download speeds.

*nods* I’ve been eyeing off the Skynet Readyset for some time. It ain’t cheap – but the Skynet stuff is sublime.

I’m lucky enough that one of the wholesalers I used to deal with has extremely close company links to Aoshima so been trying to not to drool to hard over this and a couple of its companion racers for a while…

As for Bithed, they make the poor dude clean the school – you gotta wonder about that, then again he’s just a Kiwi :p

(Somehow I think I’m off his christmas card list)

Pandabear, I’m so suprised no-one is making those things as reproduction items. I mean I work two buidings away from a huge amoutn of CNC milling equipment etc.. I’m sure they can knock that kind of stuff up..

I’d happily buy any of the ‘interesting’ re-release cars 😉

The Lancia didn’t do it for me though..

*laughs* For me in the R/C sense I would have to acquire a Tamiya 959. Probably more than 3 😉

    1: Shelf Queen
    2: Box Hero
    3: Show-off Runner
    4: Runner
    5: Runner for really running

However the price of those will buy me about 200kw extra in the XR6T 👿
