A.
You are only about 3 weeks late to help me out!!!I picked mine up from rcmart.com
Cost me $283 shipped from Hong Kong.rchobbies.com.au have the 18B and T for $300 if you want somewhere local to buy from.
They also have some decent batteries and chargers, I am using these ones but that is because I got them nice and cheap. The Reedy ones are supposed to be good.I stole (borrowed) Jay’s swallow charger but I will probably buy a better one.
Looks like a Dodge Colt to me. I had a real one. Now I have a Colt zip zap. Much more fun then the real one.
mini-g wrote:go see the guys at rc hobbies at petersham, they have lots of parts.
It’s ok.Uncle Jay(haha. uncle :P) picked up a new one for me yesterday.
And I have an aluminum one on order at rcmart.*sigh*
Broke the steering arm yesterday.
Not a good idea to drive flat stick into a gutter 🙁It arrived on Wednesday.
At the moment I don’t plan on racing, but that will more than likely change come saturday.
I am going around Morbid Monaro’s place to pickup some batteries and a charger.
We are probably going to be going to the track near his place to test it out (he will so kick my arse with his 18T), knowing my luck I will get hooked on racing and spend the rest of my money on rc cars 🙂getting an RC18b in the mail any day now, looking forward to giving it a flogging.
ahh thanks will do those things.
racetins are the bomb, just found this forum while browsing rcracer.com.au and saw that it had a racetin section.
I raced racetins with my 2 cousins before we got into 1/10 and now i’m just getting back into them.
All 3 of mine (mini cooper, supra, and evo) have the 2 relay mod and modified rims, gearbox etc.
I remember we got the racetins for about $AU16 each and the mod kits were rougly $AU25, great fun until things comes off and u spend like 20mins looking for a nut lol.
Ooh, thats a good call on the yellow 575. I just picked up one for myself as well.
I see you are running the clear/blue MR-02 top plate with the stock plastic hub. Have you noticed any diffierences in handling with this setup (chassis flex)? Or was it just soemthing you threw together based on broken parts, whatever?
Hey i was just wondering if anone had used the aftermarket tincar tyres on a mini z?
If so then how do they compare?
Because from what i remember, the race tins were just soooo fast, and when you were going full throttle and took a sharp turn the cars tyres would just grip so much that the car would flip and do barrel rolls for the next few metes.
Now THATS crazy fast!
OHHH MY GOD!!!
you guys know race tin s!
A couple years back me and mt cousins used to mod our race tins and meet up to race like every week! Damn thay were so fun
but we never got ours going 90k’s, they were going like 40-60kmph!
but thats still pretty damn fast.
I’m avaluating the theory of the 4th dimension in the hope of acheiving interstellar RC drones to discover the meaning of ‘Something’ ! Oh !Bourbon ,I knew it had meaning !
Bugger, was it christmas already ! Must be the medication ! Thought I was dreamin ! 2012 is the year to watch !!!! Have a good year people !! Remember it can go Higher,Faster, louder !!Always crash with style !
the only prob is that most sites, like rcmart and toyeast are not selling iwaver cars or products any more???? does any one has info about it. i was ready to purchase just a iwaiver 02 for fun, for USD 25.00 and install all the extra parts slowly in time, but all discontinued to sell them any more.

Wrong ;P
It is a AWD… It is a guy how work on kyosho sweden and he took a demo to the track..
In the video the car is 100% stock 😉

Hello Auzzie
You should defenately go for the Li-po 7.4v 2800mA batery. I have the GPM V2 Turbo, which is worst that the spider turbo u got and can handle the Li-po batteries. So defenately try it and be sure that once u press the throttle all the way down the Firelap will scream its way around.
also make sure to install the alloy/metallic bearings, they make a diference.

Hello people again
After a lot of preparation finally got some result.
First of all i manage to run the mini z monster on 6 cell, some kind of amazing result, the power was increased and the time of run, about 50 minutes good power to run around. In total the monster was running on 7.2v and the batteries were 6 cells, 1000mA.
And then the miracle!!!!!I connected the Li-po 7.4v 1800mA. The monster went to orbit!!!!! 😎 once i touch the throttle, the front wheels were in the air for as long i wanted!!!!!! Tromendous!!!!!!!!
the running time was around 20 to 25 minuts and the monster was almost fast as the mini inferno, with no extras of course!!!! Because another friend had the full extro powered mini inferno and was running next to me much easier.
All this managed only with the GPM V2 turbo. And i did all the usual tests, i run the monster for almost 5 minutes full throtlle straight and reverse (turning also the front wheels from left to right) and the FETs on the GPM V2 turbo did not had a problem, i could touch them without a prob.
The motors i tried were the Kyosho x-speed and the one that Iwaver shells and says that is the most powereful one(can not remember the name at the moment-something about 50000rpm.)
Finally i would like to thanks all people in here for valuable info and help and hope some day could run around together :-):-)
Geia sas people kai euxaristo (Nice to meet you and thanks a lot)
Soon will put some pics, Once i understand how can attach them to a message (if can tell me will be great)
Leonidas
well, at least you can boast the best looking bit here!
Hello again!!!
I have some positive developments regarding Li-po batteries here in Greece!!! I finally managed to purchase one 1 battery (v7.4 1800mA) for the total of Euro90.00(Usd 105.00) with the charger included. I have also found a cool way to connect them to my mini z Monster and with a proper connection all will run smooth. I was wondering if just one battery is able to run the mini z monster???? Or I need to buy a second one???? To put each for each side???? I was thinking that I could install the single Li-po battery at the cover of the mini z monster!!! And leave the reception for the AAA batteries intact and run in some times as normal as I can.
The only question is if the GPM V2 turbo can handle these batteries.?!?!?!?!?!
(Could some put a few words on it) I was wondering if I have to install some extra FETs on the turbo.(I believe is better to install them on the V2 turbo that the PCB of my mini z monster) because my soldering abilities are very poor and better to destroy a turbo of euro15.00 instead of the PCB of euro 100.00 🙂 🙂 :-S
That all!!! Hopefully some day this might run (as a friend told either I will fry the hell out of it (my mini z monster) either I will put it in orbit around earth, with all this power) xaxaxaxax 🙂 🙂
And will post some pics cause I have install some neat alloys reems, tires and other goodies.
Hope to hear some good advise
Hello people again!!!
I have been looking around ausmicro.com and could find anything to my new question. As I told you I have the GPM V2 Turbo, and yesterday got my FETS 9v from rcmart.com. I was wondering, if I can install these new fets on to the V2 turbo, instead of installing them on to the PCB of my mini-z Monster.
Could you please give me your thoughts????????
In more particular I was wondering if this will work and if I could then put more power to the whole system!!!! Upgrading it from v4.8 to v6.0 or to v7.2
Does the PCB will handle it or it will be destroyed(input voltage I mean)
Also I have noticed that all people upgrading FETs manage to solder each ?leg? of FETs separately. Also I check some others that solder the ?legs? together. What is best????
Thanks once again for your help?!?!?!?
I got the special TITAN kit for my Kyosho mini-z Monster from IWaver (all alloy) very cool indeed and the quality and finishing very nice. I race my Monster for few km and i would say that are very good, except the problem that nuts and screws do not keep very well on alloys. You must put l little iron glue in the wholes in order to keep in place, because of the vibration.
But in general i am very satisfied and all 13 something upgrades are very pretty
