The Gloria with the small rims is much faster than normal…Almost too fast to control even with four sticky tires!
The ae86 is perfectly balanced…Smaller wheels means better acceleration,sticky tires better traction…all in one is almost normal but in track is far faster than the normal because of the extra traction…And since it’s a tomy chassis with the 2.6 it’s pure quality!!!

I bought this Mini RC for 12 euro’s (almost the same in dollars)

I had alreasdy noticed that it looked a bit like a Bit char-g, except for the plastic/white rims

I’m gonna go to a hardware shop later this afternoon to check if they have a bigger battery 😀

It’s a Bit Char-G RX7 and I have now pulled it apart and and magnets are in place. But I have noticed the spring in there (i think it’s a return to center) or something like that and it does not return it to center the spring is bent and all out of shape. With the car in the air and turning left and right it stays where it is and does not return to center on the desk it mainly goes left but it has the full left and right steer

So whats the go here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol a CharG Random breath test? I live in Brisbane cant seem to find much custom stuff here in bris’vagas for these little fellas yet, i asked the guy at the local hobby shop about replacement motors and things and he said its a toy mate go to the toy shop, im like WTF! a toy! i guess he was a static model making tool. To get a little bit more depth, you could try getting rid of the plastic pcb cover all together, this should give you another 3 to 4 mm extra depth, just be carefull of the exposed pcb or make a thin plastic protecter and paint it… paint them to look like floor mats maybe? :-)or a central console

Also a cool mod i found you can do with enamel paints so to do head lights. where you pain head light in and after the have dried , go over them with clear enamel, pain another coat after that coat dries, repate untill you get a cool glossy glass looking headlights/tail lights. I did this to my s2000 convertable and I will be trying to repate this process to get it to work on side indecaters.

well i tried the 2.4 cell mod and it worked great but i wasnt satisfied so i did a 3.6 upgrade , the upgrade didnt last me a long time ,acctually , the resisters got fried in the process , i get pissed off and dont noe wat to do , so i need help hahaha..

Well just a small mistake!
THe setup now(in the last pic)is front pullback rims all over both in the steering knuckles and the gear axle…

And just to help you there…In my clone(a Bensu) I just pulled the front wheels of the knuckles and it worked…It needs some strength and a steady hand though…Don’t be afraid to pull them out(they are not going to brake!)

Sorry for the delay here are some of the answers:

*In the first set of pics it’s a chassis with rear pullback wheels in the rear bit axle.

*In the second set of pics(lol…only one pic!) it’s a chassis with FRONT pullback wheels in all corners…

*The exhaust is not custom just a detailed original.

*The paint I used for the wheels was Humbrol Enamel and the color silver 11…and I use brush for both wheels and exhaust…

*The black hole in the rear axle in the last pic is because it’s front pullback wheels(already have a hole!)

*Finally yes it needs some lowering…And new paint…All of them coming as soon as possible!

And one last thing I have pics of my chassis with rear pullback rims in all four corners!!!…I’ll post possibly tonight..

(LoL I think that I’ve done all pullack-bit wheel variation!)

im still a newbie at modding but i found a good way to get a really big power boost is to use the batteries out of cordless phones. only prob is they topple on corners

Hope I’m not duplicating any info here but http://www.bitchar-g.co.uk/showroom/tank_range.shtml has info on a wide range of tanks. It doesn’t have anything about the Tomy pellet shooters though, they are SD tanks with a knock down target on top.

The smartland MCVs look like the best bet to me. IIRC they use RC for driving and IR for shooting. They are half the price of the digi Q tanks and the charge times are shorter. I’ve seen sets of 3 of these for 60USD/120AUD. The only downside is they look a little odd and use wheels instead of tracks, I guess that would make them faster though. Oh and the turret IS controllable on these,

I didn’t count the no of winds when I did the winding, I just measured a length of enamelled wire, and cut 1.5m,

I just wound and wound till it was all gone!

Make sure that the two strands that you solder to are the same length.

If u find that you cannot wind nemore on, then just cut a bit of,

measure the length cut off, then subtract this from your original length.

This will give you the length that u need!

It was actually quite quick to wind with this method!!!!

I believe that the more turns of wire that you have = stronger magnetism = quicker turning

To get more turns in there, you will need THIN wire, as you can fit more turns of this in the same amount of space as the original coils.

You can make the coils slightly bigger than the originals, as long as they will still fit in the space, and I wouldn’t reccommend going wider than the original coils, as this may obstruct the steering.

I am using a guage that is slightly thicker than the standard steering wires.

Im not sure of the guage cos the paper with it written on has gone missing.

Its best to get as close as you can to the original wire.
