Depends on the track surface, tightness of the corners, length of the straights, length of the circuit, etc. We need more details to go on. Have you built a track you’re going to race on?

Ply is fine, or some of that craftwood stuff (called MDF in Aus). The track in my sig was my 1st track. you just goot aplan it all out,and take your time with it.

If you can’t provide a clear shot, you risk the car not looking as good as someone who does. This is a pain for people with average cameras, but at least you can’t get around having an average car, but making the photo blury to hide the imperfections. Get a good photo, or get out.

Shypo. I can get access to a good digitial camera if you wanna send to stuff to me. I’d be glad to take the shots for you at several angles (I’m an ex semi pro photographer), and send you the shotsa and cars back.

Every photo I’ve seen of the LXX AM set shows the box with 27MHz written on it. I’ve seen the descriptions saying they’re different though. Which do I believe, the photo of the box, or the written description. Does any one have all four LXX AM cars? Which ones are which frequency?

Are all the LXX Auto Modelista set cars a different frequency? Every photo I see of any in that set shows the box with a 27Mhz sticker on it. I thought they were all 27Mhz. Can someone who owns the set please confirm the frequency of each car please?

Barrell, yeah, the 4 band controller does mean you only need 1 controller for 4 cars, but my problem is I also have 4 drivers. Can’t time share in a race, man. =o)

hmmm… might look into that USA booster set. I still need a 35 though, even if I get the 49 in an attempt to run a 45.

Now that sucks. Why not make 35 and 45 booster controllers?!?!?!?!!! Now I have to buy two 4Band controllers if I want to run 4 booster cars at once. That’s just stupid.

Whatever they do, I hope the new cars are booster, and are on different frequencies than the AM set (27) and the Fairlady (57).

And the Tomy BCG Boosters are the Fairlady (57) and AM set (27).

But all the AM set boosters in the LXX range are the same as far as I can tell.

It looks like I’ll have ti buy the Tomy Booster sets (45 and 35). Does anyone know what the clear shells are they come with them are? And does a controller come with them??? Can you get a 35 or 34 booster controller?

Mate, I built my track, and had completed it all except for the advertising on the barriers before I’d even taken delivery of my Bits. I was sooo releived when the size and width of the track turned out to be absolutely perfect.

Have fun with it, and as long as you’re happy with whatever you come out with, it’s a good result.

http://www.worldmakers.co.uk/ has loads of good instructions, but with all the pictures missing.

Several instructions for different types of trees, terrain, rocks, buildings, etc. The nice thing is they often are made from different materials, so you can pick the one that bests suits what you have access to. Unfortunately without the pictures you’ll have to read through, and use your own brain to work out how it’s done.
