Um… X is in Canada, but I’m sure he gets the point about the trucks.

HSV is making the point I didn’t expand on. Everyday itels can be made into realistic looking scaled down scenery, or props for your track. Part of it is imagination, part is reasearch into what has been done before.

Sounds like you’re doing some good work on that track HSV. Very cool.

Yeah, I think HO train is about the right scale. This stuff can get a little pricey though (Train hobbyists are hardcore, and will pay ANYTHING to make their sets look real).

There are several good referances on the web about DIY HO scale scenery. it means a little more time and hands on making the scenery, but the end result can be as good, and it’s a lot cheaper.

It’s a cool feature really, being able to change crystals. That sounds better than having to change the whole chassis in BCGs.

Perhaps the categories should be broken into Car type or scale groups? MiniZ, BCG scale, etc. You can’t really put the look of a Mz against the look of a BCG.

Perhaps the car should have room for the AusMicro logo, and Trading Direct logo on the roof or bonnet. Perhaps if people add the logo just printed on plain paper put in position to demonstrate where they think the logos would go???

just some ideas.

Yeah. I should do it, even if just for a laugh. I’ve been tempted to buy a clone to keep at work. Hmmm, but now I need to work out which one to buy.

Hmmmm….

It’d have to be a booster. And best not to clash with the boosters I have (Tomy BCG Fairlady and AM sets). Any suggestions?

What surface are you driving on? Perhaps a different set of tyres might help, but if you’re not even close to controlling it as it is, then a change of tyres probably won’t completely rectify it either.

I’d love to see good photos of all your mods Shypo. Sounds like you’ve done some beauties. I’ve seen some, but your camera ruined the effect.

True. The camera does make a big difference. Haven’t you got anyone round you with access to a good camera Shypo? How about at work? Take one for a test spin.

Go into Harvey norman with your bit and a disk. Say you want to compare cameras. Ask for a demo of one of the digital cameras that take floppies, not memory cards, take a few snaps, and say you’ll be comparing the print at home with another shops camera. Might work.

Good call. There could be a batmobile mod with the black pullback.

Haven’t got myself one of those super upgrade kits, but I plan to buy a bunch of them. Top end battery, top end motor. No idea what difference the heat sinc will provide – it looks standard.

I don’t have the decal paper yet, so haven’t really played with it too much. It’s not that it’ll take long, it’s just that there’s no point until I have the paper.

I do agree that having them all the AusMicro colours would look cool. A pool of AusMicro corporate imaged cars would look good. Sounds like a good idea. Anyone else agree?

How much are red, white and blue model paints anyway? what are the actual colour names? Cheery red? Royal Blue? And hois much is the clear spray?

Can we get any photos of you and who-ever out at the DEC with the cars, etc, or any other photos of your time there?
Did you meet more current BCG owners?
Did you meet any other AusMicro people?
Did you have your table area as an in-race race track?

I should have made the offer of a track earlier, sorry about that – the event took me by suprise (I’ve had my head in the sand lately).
