Nope. The link to the folder “MyProjectTrack01” doesn’t work either. I even ticked it and hit the Aggiorna button.

    Try putting pictures on WebShots.

I wonder if we can mod and fit something to do the booster function to the buttons on these TXs? It’s only got to pulse the signal to tell the motor to spin after all.

Looking very very nice man. great work. Should get some footage of them racing at night on a track. I’d love to be able to do that with you, but we’re a few KMs apart, eh.

The Mini’s are ok. One has a serious amount of slack in the front knuckles, so it’s turns like a pig and is hard to control. The lights on them are good, and the boost only when not turning is a nice feature for control. I think that BMW didn’t let Tomy do the Mini’s because they’d signed a contract with the people who did that Mini colletion. Oh, they’re limited release as well. Only a few hundred of each colour.

I want the Supra shells, but can’t justify the spending. And are they clear windows, or blacked out? I don’t like the blacked out ones. I out my money into the Italian car sets.

My sets arrived today. I just have to pick them up from the post office…. perhaps after lunch.

I think the Enzo should have been in the Ferrari set, but they both look great.

    Perhaps they could do:

      [*]Porsche set (911 gt3, the old 911 and a 944 or something).
[*]Old classics like old Chevys, Pontiacs, etc
[*]Some more sports cars like McLaren, Maserati, Lotus, Jaguar, etc
[*]VW set (Kombi, New Beetle, old herbie Beetle)
[*]LeMans champions (with quality decals like the clone Supras on ToyEast, not the clear stickers they send with the AM set)
[*]Cars from a movie (like ZZs have done with the F&F movies)
[*]Holden set (HQ Monaro, FJ, New Monaro, HQ Sandman). =o) [/list]

I’d like to thank my mum and my wife for their support. My kids have been a great influence on my talking so much about little toys. I couldn’t have done this without Aaron and Derek, you’re wonderful and keep up the good work.

My SBCGs have arrived at the post office today, I just have to collect them, so the following is being said without having used a SBCG yet…

I can see the ‘stick’ (which is that the car continues with the last instruction given my the controller, until it hears from the controller again. Might be a pain where reception is poor, or when you go out of range.) being a problem.

As for the motor, many BCGs come with a 1.0, so a 1.6 is an upgrade.

Parts, like knuckles and tyres etc. should have been released at the same time, true, but they can’t be too far away, surely.

Ppersonally I think it’s not worth it to try and run these cars on anything other than a flat surface (though your rally idea on flour or sugar sounds like a lot of fun). The grit, fluff, and junk that gets picked up means cleanout out the car takes the fun out of a run…. for me anyway.

    My $0.02 worth.

I use ToyEast (huge range of not just BCGs, but clones, extras, motors, replacement parts, and other small postable toys.

I also use HLJ for getting stuff orderred before it’s released, as they will post once it is in stock.

Both have links in the Links page on AusMicro. Both are good, cheap, and quick to post.

Congrats on convincing your old man Titanium. IF you’re going to HK, save yor money and buy when you’re over there. You’ll not only get cheaper stuff (Save on postage which is expensive from HK), but you’ll be able to select from a much larger range.

I’ve been tempted to go down the same road with the wiring stuck to the body. You’ve convinced me to give up on a light set to swap between shells, and just have a body that has lights.

Love the wheel idea. Good result. Should leave longer between coats though, unless the pait says recoat after 10 minutes. Rushing the coats will give a less smooth result, and a light sand between coats does wonders too.

I have been pretty busy lately, and on leave last week. Kids sick, wife sick, yadda yadda.

I can do a race day pretty much any time, but lately wed and thurs nighta are looking bad. I need to do some repairs to the track (2 year old godzilla action), and the BBQ sounds great. If someone has a flat tray use, we could set the track us in the back. =o)

Damn fine work he’s done. I’d love to see the vid, or more photos too.

I’m crap at that sort of thing. My model planes as a kid always used to look like they’d been shot down. I’ve got a good eye for detail, but hands for muntedness.

Received the sub. it needs 8 x AA batteries, but they have to go into some battery case, then into the controller, alternatively you can use a battery pack. The sub comes with neither of these though. Which means that new out of the box, I can’t use it till I buy something else. man, I hate that.
