Yeah 24hr on one driver would suck.
So say 1-2 hr, then the teamate can sleep or something.
Yeah you just pop in a new set of Alkaline batteries into the controller.
I rekon it would be cool cause its the ultimate endurance test, plus each ‘team’ would have to set their car up for an endurance race, which is a surprisingly big job. I still havent got my car set up yet and ive had it about 6 months 😮 😮

None of those are any good at all. The one with the blue/white controller is the Zed’s baby brother, the Kyosho Palm Runner, which is still a piece of crap, and its more like a bit char-g than anything else.

Get the mini Z it is 1000x better than anything else.

Hydrogen burns invisible (i think), when the hindenberg went up, there were bright orange flames….becos the covering had an additive in it that was also used in rocket fuel.:p

It moves the weight forward and balances the car, so it wont oversteer or spin out as easily.

ph2t, try making a charger witha battery pack and a lm317 set up as a current regulator, a 5-10 min charge will fully charge the battery, and 30 mins off the stock nicad is possible.

Correction, it will make about a 1-3% difference in runtime (bout 8 seconds), but only in full sunlight :p

The current that flows through those tabs is very small, i doubt it would make any difference.

Just wondering, since these things have almost no friction, it’d be fairly quick, right? or is it horribly limited by a gutless motor?

Geez panda i think we share the same brain lol…that is exactly what i was thinking when i was looking at one a few weeks ago, only problem the solar cell only develops 0.5 volts 🙁

Guys, a calculator solar panel will only develop a few mA of current, a bit uses over 100mAh….so i doubt it would have any benifit whatsoever.

540 is actually about 3-4 times the power of a 380.
