hey thats a nice setup.. i got a mate witha TA04 going cheap.. if any one is interested PM me .. its not my TA04 its another one
as for the charger and packs ive been told about a 100 times to buy second hand packs off mod racers them guys use them for a month and sell them cheap so you get slightly used 150 dollar packs for about 40 bux each which is a great deal and they still have punch like they were new there run time is droped by one minute (or some miniscule margin) and that means a mod racer cant finish a race with them AHAHAHAHA.yeah smartec eletrics are total no go but there nitros are better smartec eletrics are worse that a QD from tamiya.. if there nitro quality is like there eltrics u will be in for quite a expensive ride
betty the “ventilated” can in a xmod il covered straight back up but the heat sink.. also there are some containment of mag feild things
yeah if you want to know the physics behind motor winding and such then i can give u a HUGE run down (its sumthing im really interested in)
ok x mods kick ass over mini-z but x mods need TONs of work to get them as going.
i dont know how much current a stock H bridge in a xmod can take but im pretty sure it will take 25T drilling out a motor can is stupid the weigh reduction isnt worth it its better for cooling and containment of the mag feild if it remains solid.
what sort of wind patten did you use?
as for that being a fast motor it is debate able.
hand winding is all about getting them in the right position and taking your time. th best motor i ever wound was a 20×2 wind (machubi) on a xspeed arm and can using .3mm wire
there are alot of ifs and buts with motors.. its hard 2 tell if its “safe” becaue if its not ballanced then u can get spikes of high current draw and stuff your best bet is buy a nelly 1.3 which will take near any 130 size motor and experiment with your motors till you get one that does what you wantyeah im sure its nothing compared to some of teh setups around.. no nellys no huge pinions and mod motors
nah 1:28 is to small for any reall offroad use besides “toy grade stuff” 1:18 is about as small as u can go and maintian offroad functionality without having really really high COG
yeah jamie that y i asked.. wills has one of everything
yeah i know.. thats what im saying. in 1:10s there more precise and so less interfearance this may not be so with cheaper made stuff.. i mean i cant even get xtals for a freq for as much as a super slick costs
speaking about a BL i got a mate whos looking for one for a truck.. u wouldnt know about any around cheap?
yeah also i dont think it had a very powerfull motor in it .. it needed abit of a lift for that surface. the baja king is good once setup (aaron has ne i think) just on that suface it seemed to struggle
yeah the landing was good it was probly alrady hurting from a few bad landings.. things tend not to break teh first time its useually right when its going good again to things break
yeah the landing was good it was probly alrady hurting from a few bad landings.. things tend not to break teh first time its useually right when its going go again to things break
yeah teh BCG system was less accurate and pecises so it kinda was CRAP. with 1:10/1:28 u can have a guy on 27.145 and another on 27.045 and have no real issues
yeah for backyard stuff 1:18 is arite but the full on jumping and stuff (see teh WA video) even the baja king seemed to strugle
do you mean that there may be issues running 2 cars on 27 one on A one on B.. there shouldnt be a problem because one will be 27.145 the othere will be like 27.945 or somthing. so u should have no problem
oh yeah the BL will be fun. i rad a pretty tame eletric so was abit boring. i saw it witha 10×2 in it the other day (the guy who i sold it to) and it flew
yeah i think u inspired me 2 pick up a nitro.. i used 2 thrash around a eletric wasnt much fun but nitro looks much better offroad also a little bird tells me that i dont need a new chassis
wow im so inpressed he picked it up really quick.. must have some balls to flip a revo.
that guys with the revo.. hes not new to offroad.. that revo aint his first offroad.. hes gone through a Tmaxx and some others.. im inpressed pulling a flip aint easy.. tryed it in a eletric but all i did is break srock towers.. looks like the revo did aswell and the stampede lost a knuckle.. nice work guys
nothing im trying to get a job stacking shelves or sumthing.. im upgrading 1:10 gear so i need a job pretty bad
my first job was 19.83 WHOOOO mail room at a bank.. :dead:
yeah nitefill get a fair bit.. but im with kulhanek a job is a job and money is money
