Huge track idea is unnecessary, as (1) its huge work and (2) you’ll have range problems.
No idea!! :p
Blue Ford Anglia with Harry Potter packaging is already a DigiQ pullback…
That’s what got me scratching me head mainly – ‘cos on the collection of ~10 Jap boxes that they had on the show shelf, I saw an *ORANGE* box peeking out amongst them .
(know whaddya mean?)
But no where in the lists are they differentiated. JNH staffers are none wiser either.
Guess we can only wait until stocks arrive.

The ones that are I’d think would be in Japanese only too… 🙁
Quote:did you see any holden micro rc’s?Nothing of note.
Just the usual lot of 1/10 ones from Model Engines – y’know, the common HSV Coupe and Ute on the GV elec and gas chassis, sold RTR in the box window box.
There was a 1/16th toy out too, but that’s the smallest RC Holden seen there.

Quote:…the 27 and 40 mhz frequency limits suck tho.Not sure if they’re getting them repackaged even. From the boxes on show they were just the normal Jap Bits, in the Jap freqs.
(Wonder if they’ll put in an English instruction sheet though!!?)

No, not really.
You sure this isn’t just result of impact damage? :dead:
Quote:all i had to do was ring up the phone number on the back of the box and pretend to own a shop… i did and they told me, (who’s gonna give me 64’000$?) rx-7, bb,and you ring em up and post the rest…No big secret anymore but not sure if bB is gonna make it, the pricelist only lists 4 cars under series II and its not one of them.
(Yeah, that’s JNH’s wholesale pricelist.)

Where’s “Fuuuurd”??
👿It wouldn’t be hard to balance, imho.
You have a floating balloon, with the weight (gondola) hanging below.
You have 2 props on either side of the gondola, running off 2 microB motors:
Fwd/Rev = run both motors simultanously
Left/Right = just run 1 at a time
Hmm… I’ll try to save a yoghurt tub next time… might make a handy gondola for when I find a cheap clone, cheap enough to strip for bits. 🙂
Tomy hasn’t brought out anything new recently… 🙁
Quote:Any of u ppl actually driven a dual cell bit???Nup! 🙂
What happened to your creations-for-sale?Quote:…was going to scam my way in say im from buying for just say some companyHaha, they do have pretty good verification of bonafides .
Know anyone with a real company who s got links to the toy trade?Oz toy trade is a pretty small & closeknit industry.
Everyone knows everyone else, and Melbourne is just like an
annual opportunity to chat and catchup with the interstate guys.Quote:ware a suit lolHuh??! Get real… this is the TOY industry!! 😀
The only suits there are on the salesdrones.
There was a car in carpark with “TOYREP” plates too.Quote:looks like barrell and trading direct will have to shut up shopHaha, well they’ll have some competition but I think
they’ll have other stuff to fallback upon, no worries.Quote:…was going to scam my way in say im from buying for just say some companyHaha, they do have pretty good verification of bonafides .

I looked at one long time ago, can’t remember which shop now, but didn’t bother buying it when the instructions said to “sellotape the gondola onto the balloon bit”.
Haha, why not just get a foil balloon and then make your own blimp using BCG electrics?? 🙂
wow 😯
(speechless)
IEEE1394/FW is just like a souped up serial card, so it doesn’t matter what brand/model it is. They *all* do the same job! Some modern SoundBlasters even have a FW port, I think.
Win98 will auto-recognise whatever the card.
Only Win98SE and later (note the ‘SE’ bit!) have MS’s generic DV-control protocols, so your PC will know how to talk to your mDV camera.
Software wise there’s a lot to choose from, anything from Adobe Premiere downwards.
PC speed isn’t really that critical, except for the processing time. Just have to wait longer.
More critical is HDD room & speed. As a minimum budget for about 30GB/hr of video, and a 7200rpm drive is best to avoid dropouts. Your bus should be fast enough to support the throughput too.
I am not far away either… only a P3-600EB with 256M. I had only approx 26GB (2 IDEs) so I added a 3rd 80GB 7200rpm HDD recently, via a external FW case. This is a fantastic investment – excellent throughput, no dropouts.
I haven’t really coded any big movies yet though… might take a coupl’a days on a P3… :dead:
Quote:Might be better to make that section a crossroad.Hey hey, who’s built a track with crossroads before???
That would be really INTERESTING racing!! 👿Quote:Might be better to make that section a crossroad.Hey hey, who’s built a track with crossroads before???
That would be really INTERESTING racing!! 👿I’m a self-confessed techfreak, but I still don’t understand these PDA crazies…
Like, why bother with a battery-powered fragile gadget when a pen and paper/notebook/Filofax works just as well? (if not better?)
You can’t run out of batteries, it’ll survive being sat on, being splashed by rain etc etc. There’s room to stash odd bits of paper, receipts business cards etc. And better still, you can rip out a page to scribble notes or ph.num to give your friend.
Don’t get me wrong, I think I’m the worst of the early-adopters… I’ve got an original Apple Newton MessagePad to prove for it too… but heck, its sounding like them Palmists are desperately trying to find use for their machines.
Me, I just play NMP solitaire.
