nah man, I’ve been conversing with your parents on that. I sent it off over three weeks ago now, see the email I sent your parents.
cheers,

man, there was no t&a, all the girlies are fridgid….. only one chick (the Ex stripper) was er, um, up to the task….
it was a let down in more ways than one, lol…..

the cylinders don’t appear long enough to be able to mesh correctly on the gear.
haha! my thoughts exactly!
cool, thanks for the info man. But taking a second look at the pinions in the pic makes me think they might not be long enough.

bloody mac user……

haha! yeah, I pulled the black box out in the end. It’s called a ceramic reasonator and it’s integral to the working of your Z. I pulled it out, soldered the FEts in, then when I went to put it back in the top came off. Then all the bits inside went everywhere!!! (insert poo stain here….)…. Luckily I put it back together and it blooody well worked!
unbloodybelievable!
ph2t.
you didn’t that’s cool……
feel free to take the piss/rat on/make fun of me anytime…..I’m being serious too…..Just ask that noob brendan or even Barto…..

Happy you liked the biff Hachi!

dgs, you should look on ebay, rcmart puts up their crystal “6 pack” of inbetween freq’s release by yeah racing. They work well, we used them at the last melb meet. Cost me like $15USD shipped. Pretty good price I thought…
ph2t.
how many people attend these meets?
this track looks cool:
is it this track at the ringwood meets?
cheers,

that’s true otp, but you gotta hand it to the guy. he’s enabled his xmod to go places it hasn’t before (like, outside! lol…), that’s cool…
ph2t.
how many race at ringwood? what’s the track setup?
that’s right, you don’t need to mod/stack the steering motor fets, you can leave them stock.
geez, look at that! 20 seconds, hah!
ph2t.
dude, the fets in the above picture control the steering motor servo. All the pins on the outer side are connected together internaly anyway, they are designed this way to move high currents..
Ken & danny, use the IRF7389 fets for this install. I suggest you check out ausmicro’s 7389 MOSFET packs on ebay, Aaron has the best prices. Links are available on the home page, http://www.ausmicro.com
the rear fets under the antenna mount are the fets you must replace. DON’T stack your new IRF7389 fets on top of the stock 3004 fets. This reduces the performance of the newer fets, trust me. I would reccomend a minimum of a 4 stack of fets. Anything less can be blown by a hot motor, easily!
ph2t.
nah, you don’t need resistors for the mosfets….. Good design says you should have them there, but you can get away without the resistors.. 🙂 Just connect the outputs from the RX chip to the gate pins on the n-chan mosfets. connect the drain pins to the +BATT and the source pins to the + of the motor you are connecting up. Finally connect the – of the motor to the -BATT. All done!

Quote:Any special requests for me to bring on Sat 15th?(don’t think we’ll bother with the frypan anymore)
hey man, could ya please bring yer cam with the video inputs? we wanna capture some madforce action with betty’s microcam, lol….

Ok, well I’ve done some futher work on the motor mount method for nelly and I’ve come up with this circuit:
This isn’t a final circuit at all, just a testing one. I still have some issues with the speed controll and things….
First tests haven’t been exceptionaly good. Nothing blew up but the turbo is not giving the full propo speed… Also, fwd seems to have issues.. I have some ideas and I believe I might know what’s wrong so I’ll keep on plugging!

Quote:Looking at that pic…
By you having it conencted to the logic on the pcb, meaning that the logic terminals can be soldered together when installing fets, not all of them. I mean in lots of 2.no, the inputs on the fets on the (mini-z)PCB musn’t be bridged. one wire goes to pin 2, the other wire goes to pin 4. this is then repeated on the fet nextdoor….4 wires in total go back to nelly.
Quote:Because you have 1 going to FET 1, another going to FET 2, Another going to FET 3 and another to 4. Now, there is 8 logic pads right ?there’s only two FETs to remove on the PCB, two wires go to a FET….therefore only four wires….
ph2t.
cool, that’s great news…
I’ve noticed we’ve lost the donor and subscriber thingies since going to production….
