well if your in the states you can stop by any radio shack and pic up your rare earth magnets.. there have been extensive tests done on the stock magnets in bits vs. REM.. and the supprisingly the gauss on a REM is somewhere in the neighborhood of 3700. a stock bit is anywhere from 3500.. check this link. there was extensive testing done on the two.. so you can see that there is not much difference between the two.. i believe it even talks about the variance in bit magnets vs. REM, and i believe that bit magnets are more consistant in their gauss…

fyi.. REM are 1.79 for 2 at radio shack.. i have been to 4 RS’s and all of them have at least a dozen packs.. and yes they are the exact size of the bit magnet.

yea i did do that… adding springs is really a no brainer.. just stick them over the posts on the knuckles and then put them back on.. i stopped at my hobby store and got some slot car springs.. they came in packages of 4, for 1.49. and yes they are a non magnetic spring…

wow, ok well i need to make more 250 bodys again.. i am sending some decals with bodys now. so if anyone has any requests let me know and i will make them.

now for that truck. the mold is done, and i have spit out a few bodys from it already. and they look great. the only issue is what to do with the box. with the box the body will only work, or look good on a monster bit(big wheel mod) however if the bottom of the box is cut out, and some fabric is stretched over the back like a tuneau cover it might work on a regular non moded bit. i will be testing this tonite. theres a pic of the molded body on my website.

also, i finally found some KIT racer accessory packs. there are 5 different ones. 1. tires, 2 gears, 3 chassis, 4. heat sink and plastic parts, 5. More plastic parts. i found them for 2.00usd.

i just ran across accessory packs for the kit racers… there are 5 differetn packs.. one with tires, one with a chassis and battery, one with a heat sink and some plastic parts, one with all 3 gear ratios on the racers, and one with a bunch of plastic crap that you wont use for your bit.. they were 2 dollars.

you can get the cordless black & decker model at target or wallmart for like 24.95 i have the cordless dremel pro. and love it.. although battery times are kinda short.. i have also heard that some people are using the lower rpm’s.. ive tried this but everyting seems to work better at higher rpms.. it could just be because mine is cordless…. i have used both cordless and corded.. and think the corded ones have more torque… or are harder to stop by using the tool.. i can grab the sanding drum on my dremel and turn it up full bore and auctually hold it with my hand. i have a feeling mine is kinda funky, but thats my opinion… and if you have to do any cutting.. the faster the rpm the better…

they are off mucsle machines. it wasnt a target i got it at.. it was a k-mart thats going outa business.. the muscle machines were only 79 cents.. they are usually like 2.69 per car.

from top of the tire to bottom is 17m and 19mm so they are kinda a lot bigger than the bit wheels… however the front tires from those cars are identical in size to the bit tires.. the tires in the pic are the rear tires from two differtn muscle machines..

no i got them off some car at a toys-r-us.. i will stop back at the store to see what the name of it is.. they are plastic.. but not that bad. my plan to get traction is to just brush a bit of latex mold on the tires and then they become super sticky…

i use the same stuff on hot wheels tires to get them to work on my cars.

yea i tried painting a clear tomy body from the bottom to see what it would look like.. it sucked. the plastic is to thick, so the paint looks goofy. ya need thinn plastic like the larger 1/10 scale bodys to paint the underside and it look good.

nice paint job! although where you paint the body. top side or under side really should depend on the material that your painting… lexan-bottom of car… plastic resin – top of car…

im thinking of doing my next paint job, candy apple green… a candy apple green and white VW bus..:D

i have 4 precious, and all of them run perfectly. (better than my bit char-g WRX, which im just using for parts) using the pinion from the kit on them dosent work at all.. on 2 of the cars i use the entire kit setup and they fly…

i think you may have just got a bad car.. or two. after all they are clones..

i know. im working on getting a quality paint job finished.. should be done in a day. with decals. most if not all of the other bodys were not of the clear plastic. so the painting was on the outside of the body, and not on the inside.. I am planning on making a gallery of them as soon as people start sending me pics of their painted cars.. but i do agree with you.
