Not actually given to me but it arrived today so it’s pretty close to Christmas. I managed to scorea GTR Nur and Toyota Voltz :smiley4:. I actually prefer the Voltz as it’s different to any other Bit out there. I’ve seen two of them sell on ebay for over $150US! Unfortunately I don’t have access to anymore :smiley6:.
I tried to pm as well with no luck. If you could let me know the site I’d really appreciate that.
Thanks
S15’s are awesome but the the best would be the S13. A Sileighty would be the ultimate.
I think you’re right PandaBear. I’ve got a couple of normal Bit’s and they have the little sticker on them also. I think it’s on most of the Japanese ones that have been manufactured recently.
16 November. I’m trying to decide whether to spend more of my money and get one of them too. I’ve already ordered the battle set for me and the little woman. 50 bucks each and we can smash into each other.
Don’t worry Jamie,
I paid something like $35-40US for my Nismo GTR from Toyeast. They now sell them forabout $25US. Doh!
I reckon you’re better off going with the Wild Char-G. Then you’ll have all Tomy gear and they look awesome!
The 1.6 is an option part only until the Battle Set is released! The trucks come with 1.6’s and are 35 and 45MHz. I’m guessing if the motor was too fast you would brake them too quickly as you are meant to run into each other. Can’t wait!
Thanks heaps,
I’ll have a look tonight.
Come on kiddies, let’s play nicely.
Everyone here is into their cars but 3.0 and 3.8 motors cost around $15-$30 so we are unlikely just to give them away. That, and they kick arse.
Also, a lot of members are in Australia too so we’d have to pay money to send you your free parts. Pretty unlikely unless you are a hot chick who is about to come to Australia and repay us in favours………
Sorry Martin,
Just realised I doubled up on your topic. Looking forward to the translation.
Thanks Guys,
I tried it again last night and it only did it twice. I might try opening it up just to check. It’s27MHz, which is of course everybody’s favourite! Where about’s do the steering wires run? Thank again
It was brand new so there’s no crap on it. The steering works fine but it will turn the opposite direction to the one I direct it to and it’s only intermittently.
My two cents worth
I like the booster controller as it is easier to use. It fits in you hands better than the normal ones. My wife prefers it too and reckons her fingers don’t get sore with it. I don’t know why but my booster GTR and Auto Modellista Set seem to go really well. The range with my 57MHz booster isn’t too bad.
Oh yeah, definately AA.
Setanta, I understand.
I started off with one or two and now I have six; Trueno Tuneup Box, Auto Modellista Set, Blue GTR (Compact Char-G), Accord wagon, Nismo GTR, and Clear GTR Booster.
I thought I had stopped untilI sawthe Speed Racer Set and the Big Foot Sets. When will it end……….
One of my cars also had this problem. Unfortunately all I did was get it as close to straight as possible. Regarding the 3.0 motor, as long as it’s a good one get some gears and use the lowest one. It still won’t be as quick off the mark as a 2.2 but it will be very fast.
Auto Modellista set is 27MHz
It’s strange but the booster cars just seem to go sooooooooo well. I love the cars which come with the Auto Modellista set but I don’t like the controller as you needhold down the booster button to go full speed. With the multi controller you can flick a switch and the car goes full speed constantly.
With both my GTR and Modellista boosters, if I go full speed backwards then swap to forwards the front wheels lift right off the ground. If I take the cover off the front lifts so high that the back touches the ground. That’s using the 2.2 motor and orange gears (stock). My Char-G GTR with the same configuration doesn’t!
Hey Guys,
Do these NiMH batteries have any negative effects?
Also, do you just clip them onto the controller twice for a double charge?
Unfortunately our 1.6’s suck but the 2.6’s are already on order. I gave her one of my spare 2.2’s which works a treat. She loves my GTR with 3.0 and hard tyres as she can do burnouts in it. Once the 2.6’s arrive her little DB will be cranking! I do agree that the 2.2’s are one of the best. I’m looking forward to trying the 2.6’s with different gears (I’ve got a limited GTR with the tall gearing at the moment). One last thing, why does it seem the booster cars go faster with “only” a 2.2? Both my boosters will lift the front wheels when fully charged.
The four band mightgive a little stutter if you’re more than about 6ft away. I haven’t found too bad though.
When you say Tomy have released the 3.8 I’m assuming it’s meant for a Bit Racer as they haven’t even released a 3.0 for the Bit Char-G.
The four band controller is nicer to use but does have a pretty limited range. It is nice to be able to change the frequency as well.
Hi Acura,
Not sure about the Lxx but with the Bit Char-G you need to pull apart the front end. There is a magnet in there which sounds like it’s off centre. You need to centre it and put a drop of glue on to hold it in place. On some of theBit Char-G sites they have step by step photos to help. Good Luck!
I’m guessing the car turns sharper one direction than the other. The turning problem has to do with the magnet located at the front of the car. You need to pull apart the front of the car to fix it. The magnet is likely to have come unstuck and shifted a little to one side. If you centre the magnet (making sure not to change it’s orientation) and put a drop of glue on it to hold it in place the problem should be fixed. A couple of the sites have step by step photos on how to do this. Good luck!
