the front knuckles are a trick!

    1. using a balsa brick i cut enuff space to fit the original front rim with a hole in the center for the pin to go into. place rim into hole with (white)knucle exposed.
    2. use a very small hammer and half of a kit racer front axle cut in half. grip the half axle in a pair of electonics pliers and line the pin up with metal knuckle pin and gently :smiley2: tap the flat end of the kit pin so it knocks the wheels pin out. it is secured by tiny ridges so you need to take your time.
3.when knocked thru use a spair steering magnet to retrieve the steering pin.

this front knuckle removal mod is so usefull for removing built up dust inside the font rims, just remember to be gentle and dont use a standard big hammer, this is the micro hobby SO GET SOME MICRO TOOLS!!!!!

enamel has a hard time without prior sanding (aargh!!! dust) or a use of an enamel primer, the colour spray has a hard time sticking to smooth plastic.

i recomend using an undercoat on any paint job as it greatly improves the look of the finish, especially acrylic. if you are using light colours a white is good but for all metalic and darker tones a black is best. if in doubt a grey spray never goes astray!

3units of art at high school tought me pretty well. suprisingly the opposite on the colour wheel will give a perfect contrast as an undercoat, e.g red under green, the reason being it reflects every available particle of light to the eye( thankyou Monet!!!)

8 tooth pinion!!!! i got a pink set with a car called race master tornado and they f@rk!ng fly!!!
the motor might be a new 4.0??? from my xp tho some clones use cheaper parts which creates a bit more power than a standard bcg.
all i know is that gear set is hot stuff, the pinion wont fit into a standard chassis without a bit of a shave but combine it with a clone pink 3.8 and a lightened supra chassis for a winning race machine!!!

i must agree with surfmystrat on that one! suprize packages are always sweet!

i personaly dont mind the pink end 3.8’s as it’s easy to tone them down with the tomy high end gear set, and using a tapping method on the acceleration you can get the best control out of them.
wouldnt mind getting one of those 3.0’s they sound nice.

talldude in my experience the supra does handle trackwork better than a skyline, simply cos it doesn’t have sqaure corners and it’s front end weight. i drilled two holes in the front where fog lights would sit to allow airflow and to lessen the weight difference. the black supra has an awesome finish, shiny smooth like real duco!

my second preference to the supra on the track is my bit-char-a celeca clone shell. red with white lightning bolts looks sweet as well.

    anti booster sounds decent!!!

X I ted, the booster controler (multi channel) has a switch underneath with a,b,c . b drives like a booster but c makes it go constant boost.

hell knows what a is for, i think a few of my clones work on it tho.

check out the red and white celica in the top right hand corner, i did that wheel swap months ago using the rims off the blue skyline hot tuner. looks awesome but unfortunatly i used stinky clone nuckles that didn’t fit into my nice tomy skyline

toys “r” us was getting one hot tuner car with every box of muscle machines, u had to be lucky to get them as collectors hunt constantly!!!

they might look sweet but really are cosmetic, unlike a decent set of johnny lightning rims:smiley2:

Aaron can u sort out classes b4 the day?
none of this dual/triple cell shite!!!!!

we need a standard bcg race, that means tomy hop ups only!!!

lets do an open class as well so that others can show off the beasties too!!

let the comp be real, not a mod comp!:smiley2:

in other words, fair play and real racing classes!

i dont mind entry fees if it means prizes(i.e a trophy:shock: for each class)

please take this oppurtunity seriously!!! we are the pros of oz remember, lets show the world how much style we have:evil::evil::evil:

Aaron, self appointed authoritarians are absolutly to much! edit my posts to protect the selfish requirements of one and you push the other away….

i’m sorry that kitties pride couldn’t allow her to apologize to the general community, and her effect of negativity can be seen here:
